    Hey Everybody,

What is a good interval to clean the throttle body and MAF unit on a Toyota 3.4 V6? My rig is a 1999 SR5 extra-cab 4x4 with 166,000 miles on it. It does not have any problem accelerating. I am sure these units have been cleaned before. I just can't figure out the last time they were done.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

    Take it easy,
    Paul

Every time you're changing the oil is a good time to clean the MAF or Throttle body

The MAF are very easy to clean, but make cure you use a cleaner just for the MAF and not throttle body or brake cleaner.

Agreed. Mine had CRUD when I cleaned it @ 134K miles. I think from now on, I'll do it whenever I replace the brake fluid, every two years.
