Did the brackets come with it? Doesn't look like the install would be too bad....I have the same headunit and really wanted a small powered sub. This looks perfect!

I bought the brackets and a small roll of 1/4" felt with a adhesive back. All together about $4 @ Home depot. The sub doesnt come with any brackets, just velcro.

Range44, do you think this would work under the bench seat of a reg. cab?

I would measure or call crutchfield, its actually designed to go under a seat. I think i remember reading under the reviews of this product on crutchfield someone having it set up like that.

Too easy 44, I'll find a spare box and get it done. Right after I posted, I was thinking how lazy it was of me to ask, instead of just measuring myself.

Someone on the clutchfield reviews had it under the passenger seat of a DC I thought.

Sorry about bringing back a dead thread here, but I figure it's better than starting a new one. How do you guys think this little box will do with the stock head unit, stock speakers, and a re-q? The stock JBL system sounds OK (AKA good enough) to me, and I figure if I put one of these in, I can lower the bass on the head unit to take some load off the speakers. All I'm really trying to do is add some bass on the cheap, and this sub along with a re-q seems like it will allow me to leave everything else alone.

Also, any word yet on whether or not it will fit under the passenger seat?

Was also thinking about getting this little thing but I'm not sure if it will fit in my reg cab. Anyone try it with any success.

Here it is installed under the drivers seat. It wouldn't fit under the passenger seat because for some reason there's more shit under there. I'll post the vid when it's done uploading, but you can't really hear much in it.

    Edit* and here's the video

Do you have to have a Re-Q or can I just hook it up to the stock JBL without this part?

Cut the cubbies out? What they just pull out..flatten the bars and IMHO drop some serious 10s in a box and you'll be much happier.

Everything is good, sub is still in place. Its great if you want some nice base without modding out you cubbies. Its def alot louder than my buddies JBL sub package!

I'll go with something similar for the brackets. Once I get it installed I'll add some more pics.

120 Watts + 8" sub + small enclosure = pounds? Something does not add up.

I think that's why OP called this thread, "Magic Sub!" :)

I'll let you know how it goes by tomorrow. Should have it installed tonight.
