Just wondering if anybody has any experience with the Magnaflow 4" round muffler...http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=8638
..., i was told that it is louder and deeper than the 5x8 oval mufflers.
i will also be putting on JBA shorty headers. I was first looking into a 5x8 oval then was told that a 4" round would sound deeper and louder at idle, cruising, and WOT. Anybody have any experience with the 4" or with both round and oval? Thanks fo the help...Mike

On my 03 Escape I've got the Stainless Steel 3" Magnaflow Cat Back system and I like the Sound of it. It is Mellow yet not real loud.

It is louder. Think about it, it has less sound deadening material than the 5x8 and it's a 14" long muffler which is really short. It will be louder than a 14" 5x8.

I have a magnaflow on my 3 inch, it sounds good but I think I lost some pep and low end grunt even with the supercharger.
