Sounds great!! It sounds almost exactly like the Flo-Pro Max that I had installed last week. Were you able to keep your spare tire with the dual exhaust?

I didnt really try to take notice of performance changes...so if others say it gives an improvement...it very well may. I just didnt think to pay attention before and after.

If you go to the Magnaflow website, Im sure it tells you where your local Magnaflow dealers are. Just make trips to the local spots and get some ideas of what you want. Thats all I did ;)

Now that you have had it on for awhile have you noticed any gain in MPG’s or power?

I can't believe Toyota put those big ass stock mufflers on these trucks. I think it restricts the exhaust flow too much. When we got the truck my wife told me whats wrong with this thing? It seems its dragging along. (I finally got an excuse to get the magnaflow :D) I told her, "oh honey its probably the stock muffler, maybe it needs a performance type like." She said OK get one that you think will help this poor thing to run.

My Magnaflow installed last Wednesday from Midas. Its 5 X 8X 18, 2.5 single in(O)2.5 single out(C). The guy did a superb job on installing it. I did not go for the whole system. I just told him what magnaflow I want and have him cut the stock exhaust and welded the magnaflow in place.

Nice throaty sound, has a nice rumble to it. Very subtle at idle. Press on the gas and it comes to life. Go above 2500 RPM it growls like it means business. Cruising speed it has a nice sound to it. I don't think that will qualify as an annoying sound. ( drone? ) Its more like a purr but not from a kitten. Its from a big cat.;)

Guy from Midas says that once the break-in period is done, it will sound much better. I don't know what that means but I like it from the get go.

Magnaflow 12255 5 X 8 X 18 2.5 in 2.5 out. Just have your local muffler shop weld it for you.

Stock exhaust , I noticed that the truck has no problem whatsoever in attaining speed but takes a while to get there. After the magnaflow install, it much better. I know its a subjective thing but attaining speed in a shorter time is definitely noticeable, merging into Interstates is a breeze. Heck it even comes with the nice rumbling sound when doing so. What can I say? Its a win win situation. :D

Now I am keeping an eye on my MPG. If I stick to my good driving habits I will have very good MPG.

I have to be honest, its hard to control the urge to step on the gas pedal, you just want to hear the roar brother! :burnrubber:
