Magnetic gray Taco owner with questions!

What are some headlight/ grille options you have on your 1G3 Tacos? Feel like some of the projector headlights won’t look that good but I love the light output of them! Let’s see what ya got! LOVE the look of the black housing lights but they don’t have any with projectors which sucks! Don’t want it to look cheesy!

Most projector headlights have worse output than the factory housing with wiring upgrade.

In terms of grille options, it depends on what you're after and what you want to spend money on. I installed a factory grille off the sport and painted the Toyota logo to eliminate the chrome and keep a factory look.

 

I just got the painted grill surround and I picked up the Morimoto headlights which are the only good headlight option. I’ve thought about the pro grill but I’d rather spend the money on other things.

 

TRD Pro headlights with the "Ultimate Headlight Mod" would be a great OEM (yet aftermarket looking) option and the light output with the UHM is amazing. The smoked lenses of the TRD Pro headlights would also look good against the MGM color.

As far as the grill, I bought a knockoff Pro grill off eBay for like $150 and it looks completely OEM, pretty easy to swap out too. Or, you could just paint your Toyota emblem black or something to make the grill 'unique' compared to most other Tacomas on the road.

Here's a pic of the grill from eBay... i've since switched back to my OEM headlight housings with the UHM. These lights quality was fine (no leaks or anything) but the light output wasn't great.

If you have a 2011 you have a grille a lot of people enjoy - the honeycomb. Exclusive to the 2011. I just went with paint matched honeycomb grille and called it a day.
