Carmen is a work in progress but I like how she is coming together so far.

Are y'all saying Tacoma's aren't tough enough to handle a extra 100lbs on the front end after replacing the factory bumper. ;)
I've had toyotas all my life since my first 1977 land cruiser.

Amazing some of the opinions on here are based on apparently lack of experience or hate.

First of all welcome to TW  I don't think people are saying our trucks can't handle the weight, it's the loss of lift when adding a new front bumper when replacing the factory bumper. You can def stick a plate bumper on the front and not worry about upgrading to heavier-duty coils, but you are going to lose some lift from the weight of the aftermarket bumper.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Agreed. My 886s dropped about 1" after installing a bumper and skid. Not the end of the world, just looked funny IMO. Can't imagine how goofy the truck would've looked on oem coils. And there is no denying that the rear leafs have been garbage since the Gen 1 Taco (1995.5), and are still garbage today. Don't need 36 years of Yota knowledge to know that :p

Not trying to get off on the wrong foot here, just know what my experiences have been. I respect the opinions. I'm also not a rookie to forum antics either. Been around a lot of forums and it comes with the territory I know.

Glad to be part of this forum though! ;)

    Hey guys,

My 2014 tacoma is arriving tomorrow (magnetic gray of course). What is everyone's opinion on the nerf bar colors to add on?

It is the sr5 package so the bumper is chrome and has the stock alloy wheels.

Please share pics if anyone has examples!

    Thanks!

Depends on what your plans are for the truck. If you're keeping it stock I would go with some of the chrome ones that have the black end caps. If you go the murder route, I'd get some black avid step bars.

I'd just skip the bars and get some sliders :p

Nothing too fancy here, but I thought I would show off my rattle can paint job on the rear bumper. Dupli Color matches our MGM paint pretty good, FYI.
