I wouldn't recommend the nitto's to my worst enemy...lol they look great and are a good tire but, over kill for our trucks. They do well offroad for sure. I tend to stray from mud..I had the cooper stt actually and have nothing negative to say about them. Everyone on tw seems to dig the duratracs which is more of an a/t tire. I'll be going to Goodyear mtr's very soon. Might wanna check those out also.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I'm running Nitto terra grapplers and they are rubbish for anything other than asphalt. The trail grabbers might be good off-road, but I'm sick of Nitto for now.

Good info!! Went from BFGs or Duratracs. Then to nitto or Duratracs. You guys helped me cement my decision for Duratracs.

Good choice! There is just so many more options out there then Nitto's..everyone thinks their so great. I got mine cheap tho:( Heck I even had the Terra grapplers when I had my fronty. Those were even heavy. I think my km2's I switched to were lighter actually

Has anyone ordered any tires through Tread Depot.com or Onlinetires.com. Found some pretty good prices on Cooper STT and Goodyear mt/r. Waiting to see who is willing to make me a better deal. The Goodyear mt/r are only 25 dollars more than the STT.

If you are on a budget, you may want to check out treadwrights. They get awesome reviews. Theres a ton of FJ guys running them, been doing a ton of research on them, probably going to go that route when its time. Get a beefy tire for less than half the price.

I know Goodyear is offering that $80 mail in rebate till the end of the month on a set of 4. Tire rack was the cheapest I could find even with shipping

What do you meany by overkill? Just curious. I've had 2 sets of Trail Grapplers and no complaints or problems on either. Not loud at all and feels great on the road. I have heard some negative things about the terra grapplers but never had any of those.

I've had good luck with http://tirecrazy.com/
I got a great price and free shipping on Trail Grapplers and tires were at my door in 2 days!

Just the shear weight of the Nitto's. Not saying they are a bad tire. Their actually great if I had full size truck. I'll put it this way the 35" mtr's I'll be ordering soon will weigh less then my 33" nitto's. Curious to see how my truck reacts..Hopefully there is a more positive effect with lighter wheels/tire even though I'll be turning more tire :D

Thanks! I got it from Jim Barkely. Actually, it's the smoothest and fastest I've ever been in and out of a dealer. And I've bought a lot of vehicles over the years.

Nice just to let you know if you plan on driving on anything than dry payment get rid of those tires or make sure you got a tow rope with you cause they SUCK. Its kind of funny you drop that much coin on a truck and they put some crappy tires on them. You will get suck in wet grass lmao. Got the same ones on my truck been stuck twice. :) Just though I would give you the heads up I learned the hard way.
