I take it, you are sending the unit in now?

What's the verdict? Bearings loose on tolerance?

*Edit. Just watched the video. I don't believe there should be that much play.

I’m thinking the rotor pack is no good. Loose as all get out.

It also looks like the coating has starting coming off. Yes?

Yes I’m thinking I just need the rear needle bearings and the new rotor pack. Should be good to go. I’ve got a new TRD nose cone. So much for a supercharger that was supposed to be good to go

Sorry to hear mate. At least you found the problem.

Better than one guy's story. Bought a used URD s/c kit. Installed it. Had a boost problem, and never heard the bov.

Upon inspection, he found that there was no compressor wheel....

    NO COMPRESSOR WHEEL? WTF!
Glad you were able to talk to Wayne about the issues, he has done all my work
and is up to date with TRD superchargers. If your sending the supercharger in, a few thinks to think about.
1)Get the double lip sealed bearings for 10.00 or so more. If running a 7th injection the gas is dumped
right on these bearing and they will last longer if you get he double sealed type. The 7th injection system dumping gas on them will prematurely wear out these bearing sooner or later otherwise.
    2) think about stripping and recoating the rotors, if they are pealing
as shown, they actually will be out of balance when spinning at 10 or 12,000 rpms and will cause issues latter or at least just have them stripped
    3) put on the upgraded 300-400 degrees nose seal, if your going to run a smaller pulley adding more boost means more heat, it's a cheap upgrade while the charger is off,
    4) take an extra hour and scrub down the supercharger and repaint it.
    5) get a Gates pulley for the supercharger, Gates is the best and will last the longest, it's better than the TRD belt also, nothing worse than a belt snapping
100 miles away from home and having to limp your way back.

I think anyone buying a used Supercharger should plan on a full rebuild so
you know exactly what you have
