Magnuson supercharger install here at down east offroad

ya im just tyring to let people know these are out and we got to install like the 4th kit out there. we thought that was cool.

 

Magnuson said they used their own tuning and OV tune said the same thing

 

was a bummer it wasnt on my truck but make people happy.............. but i will be putting one on mine after the fan kit is finished and then to 37s probably

 

I thought somebody said they used vFTuner? If I'm not mistaken, Mat said Magnuson used their own tuner, which I interpreted as their own professional human being doing the tuning, not the tuner as in the software. Please correct me if I'm wrong

 

That's not what was said. Magnuson is using VFTuner and has developed their map/tune independently. Mat did not create a tune for them, however they are using his software. Having developed VFTune, I would expect Mat would know better whether or not you can correct the speedo with it. Until there is proof otherwise, I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to claim that VFTune can adjust the speedo.

 

And for this I thank you. This thread has given me hope as I thought I’d never see them for sale! I know they (Magnuson) post stuff on social media, but I don’t have any of that so, for me to see your thread, it was awesome knowing they are officially on the road now. Still can’t wait to see more about these SC’s and how they can be improved on to add more power. Ready to buy once I learn more and know/confirm it’s what I’m looking for, so the more info posted the better it helps inform us consumers, so thanks!

 

The c7 z06 had heat issues due to lack of frontal grill area, which is why the zr1 added those giant grills to the front.

It's not just a c7z06 problem though; I tracked a c5z06 for a few years and every single boosted vette I ever saw ran into heat issues while on the road course, some within just a few laps in the not so hot PNW.

 

would love to see this on a sports build. probably yank this platform up and down the street lol.

 

Just re-read and seen Matt say they did use the VFtuner. Also didn’t know that’s Matt’S software. My bad

 

I'd read his sig before you tell him what the issue was with the early LT4s...

 

12 second video in car and people say already it’s a letdown.

 

I really want to limit my presence here, but vF Tuner does not have the ability to adjust the speedo.

 

i completely believe you. know im just wondering why the customer is saying his speedo is not correct.

Cognitive Biases 101... This is the Confirmation Bias. Spend many thousands of dollars on something and your brain reinforces that it does what it claims.

Not to say the supercharger doesn't add power (and whine), but the butt dyno takes over when talking about it.

 

Bring the CARB and the party will begin!

 

On a no carb diet, gotta get in shape for the twins.

 

no twins or OVTune SC here as our diet is CARB mandatory. If it was not I'd already have Mat's SC installed. Congrats!
