What gauge are you using for Boost and AFR? Any recomendations or brands to stay away from?

I never added either = considering a Boost Gauge though. I figure the ECU control and AFR tables should be all I really need for the AFR. Boost would be nice to know but again not necessary. @Formidable would be a better resource for products you are interested in.

This is a great solution for the Direct Injection rail, but I don't believe it's the DI going lean. I could be wrong of course, but with the individual rails both being fed from "roughly" the same point, you would see lean conditions on both forward cylinders. In this case I believe mZiggy mentioned the lean condition is on the passenger forward cylinder, which points towards the Port Injection rail.

If you look at the picture below, you can see how the Port Injection rail is fed from the driver forward cylinder (Number 2) and loops around the back to end at the forward passenger cylinder (Number 1). So after feeding 5 other injectors, the number 1 injector is getting the absolute least flow/pressure.

My goal is to either validate utilizing the lexus rails since they are dual rails fed from the center rear (see picture below), find an aftermarket rail that fits (not likely but maybe something fits similar engine), or get something fabricated.

Here is the lexus port injection rail. It does not appear as if it will fit, but lexus is Toyota and this is pretty much the same engine, so I'm hoping for the best. Also it would require the pressure sensor to be relocated to the driver rail.

Totally agree that this is a concern, but the loss in pressure after 2 injectors shouldn't be as bad as the port injection's 5 injectors with low pressure.

Honestly, it completely depends on what the fueling is doing. For example, if Mat was putting all the emphasis on direct injection, then the problem would exacerbate. Personally I don't think overusing the direct injection is the answer since the high pressure pump is limited and there is no easy answer to correct it. His latest discussion about compensating with Port injection is a little smarter since we are using a 340lph pump and could essentially run the whole fuel system up to 500-600 hp.

I agree with you that it's probably going to help, but realistically we have to remember we have 2 fuel injection systems. As long as we have a big enough pump, we can always compensate one with the other. So when you hit a ceiling with one side, back it off a bit and starting filling the holes with the other.

Keep in mind some cars use only Port injection...some cars use only Direct injection....and some, like ours, use both. We have the best of both worlds and we need to use that to our advantage. Granted that's easier said than done.

Mat will have a final solution to this SOON. Disturbing posts by him related to customer service requests, responsiveness and software issues. Seems like he is pulling back and moving to development. Too much for one person to undertake and always has been.

Towed the Winnie for the first time since installing the maggy. What a difference. It can accelerate uphill. Also lost a couple mpg. Avg 9. Also, and weirdly, it seemed more drivable and shifted better without ect. Less hunting and constant shifting. Kept it in S5 most of the way. Looking forward to mZiggy’s tune!!

    @mZiggy
This might be a bit early to ask but do you guys plan on developing a turn for the smaller pulleys? Pulleys that are less than 90mm? Also do you think there will be options for gear ratios other than stock (i.e. 4.88 or 5.29)?

Of the 10 testers, 3 of them are on the 87mm pulley. Also of those 10, 3 testers have aftermarket gears.

Gear ratio input will be an option

Not enough fuel to go much smaller in pulley.... yet... that will be the next hurdle.

It appears that the fuel system will support 87mm and a peak boost of 8psi.

I struggle with finding anything specific within TW, so maybe someone can help me out.

I have a Maggie to install, but would like to read all possible TSB's that could pertain to my truck, before installing the SC. I think I have seen TSB listings here before, can anyone provide a link or direct me to somewhere where I can see all the possible TSB's?

    Thanks in advance!!

@mZiggy , so I should update my ECU version before I ask for the Maggie tune?

@mZiggy So I have read a bunch of threads here on resetting the learning, with ECU updates, and recall that many have reported not resetting these has some advantages, at least when testing subtle tune alterations for development.

Do you suggest resetting the learning values and AT after installing B82? How about after installing the Maggie tune?

And while this is addressed to you, do you know if our trucks are using the direct injectors for some sort of extremely lean burning Flame Kernel technology? More of my reason to think this is possible can be found at https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...twin-turbo-kit-improvements-and-fixes.750897/
