$12k? Where is that number coming from?

Mine installed and having someone else doing the loading of Yotawerks tune was less than $10k.

My bad, that’s a bit high. Was thinking of labor as well though. 7200 SC, 2000? install, and I don’t recall what the Stryker tune costs.

High everyone - pretty much read this thread start to finish over a few days. Went away and thought about it. Watched videos. Talked to a few folks. Given all the pros and cons - I am really wanting to make the upgrade.

For context, 2017 AT Sport DCSB, about 60K miles. I run 285s, bumpers, sliders, armor, canopy, road trips with drawers and fridge, etc. Way over stock weight.

Truck is OTT tuned and love it (favorite mod of all!). However, and maybe it's just the kid in my mid life, but there times when I just want more.

that all said, was hoping others with long term use could weigh in on experience in terms of reliability and maintenance needed to stay reliable.

My truck is my daily and pretty much my one hesitation is worrying about if reliability is compromised. Understanding the install needs to be done right.

really appreciate any and all insights.

    thank you!

    None so far
I have over ten thousand miles on mine with no issues at all. I know that isn't a lot of miles but most of them are pulling a small trailer up in the Sierra mountains or across the deserts in summer.

Have roughly 30,000 on my supercharger with no issues. That's also with the smaller 87mm pulley and Yotawerx tune.

    Super reliable so far.

In fact I’ve installed it on one truck that ended up getting totaled and pulled it off and re-installed it on a new Tacoma and it’s been great.

One of my favorite upgrades on my trucks - highly recommend.

Received my Magnuson tune earlier this month and it was V7 (for those wanting to know if it has changed)

Interesting. I put on a maggy a few months back on my 3rd gen manual transmission and the tune I received at the time was seemingly "V9"? Perhaps the fact I'm manual comes into play.

Looks like we have different ECU codes 04C30 vs 04B33

I've had mine for about 8000 miles. The one issue I had was a leaking IAT sensor resulting in a lean condition at idle. Magnuson warrantied the part and it has been fine since then.

I've had mine for 2.5 years. Installed at 80K miles, just hit 101k. Zero issues from the supercharger. Hated the Magnuson tune, flashed an aftermarket one (I'm running Stryker), never looked back. I tow a small travel trailer and the truck has tons of power. It was expensive, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I went for the regear 488's and added the maggie as well from Magnuson. I have put 10K so far on the truck and so far all is good. I got it tuned by OTT a month ago and it feels great. My thinking in doing all of this was around keeping the truck forever. I am sticking with it for the long term. Too much $$ went down for these upgrades. Good luck.

Awesome - really appreciate that. Curious - what size tires you running?
