    305 WHP/ 328 WTQ. It's a serious runner for sure. Before the 18% drivetrain losses of that and you have 360 BHP/ 398 BTQ. :)

    Dude you really should get HP Tuned. At least do your 1GR that favor.

    Anyways, back to 3rd gen SC talk. Hahaha.

    I absolutely should. Actually just found a guy locally (well MT locally is like 100 miles) who has a roller and uses HP tuners. I'm trying to get my car in first, but I may do just that. My truck would love me.

    @hx989 Don't.

    Why do all that? Why don't you just have are local resident tuner God @JustDSM hook you up with a mod specific tune?the only charges like 50 or 60 bucks if I remember right.

    WHY ARE YOU YELLING?! Let's be honest here, it's just another 3rd gen Magnuson thread out of the hundreds that already exists on here. I'm just looking out for a fellow boosted brother and further enhancing the knowledge base of this forum. As the Boosted Bible thread originator I swore an oath to spread performance knowledge to this forum in the most transparent way possible! :laugh:

    I can't speak for 3rd gen, but I can gladly do that for you on my 2nd gen whenever you want.

    I'm hoping in the future that you can buy the supercharger without a tune. I am hopeful that OVTune will releas a tune for it as they got one to "play with". Though, this could be a legal issue.

    This is what I’m hoping as well. I like the way these Eaton superchargers look OEM and have an intercooler that’s built-in. The install is so much cleaner and under hood temps should be much lower. I’ll wait for this option. Im not really set on magnuson though. I think Harrup (spelling) and someone else uses the same Eaton supercharger in their kit.

    It would be great if OV released tunes for the other setups.

    $6500 for roughly 30% increase to turn a truck into a racetruck seems like a lot to me, spend my money elsewhere...just saying..

    Wow. What an unconventional opinion. Great contribution to the thread.

    Just saw the numbers posted on their website, am I the only who feels a little disappointed? Their website for months has stated a 50% increase in horsepower and torque. Which is what other vehicles using the same TVS1900 are getting, putting them at over 400hp. All of a sudden the actual number for the Tacoma dropped down to 30% gains :/ A 20% drop is significant, makes my buying decision go from certain to possibly maybe now.

    Wondering if there will be other add on option to increase torque. I’m really trying to justify this SC, but man $7k for 67 torque doesn’t help.

    Depends what the rest of the curve looks like. I'm fine with a 30% boost in the peak, if it's also 30%+ up to that point.

    True. If they can give all the gains in the lower rpm where it’s needed, then that may be worth it. I’d like to see max torque at about 3k rpm, like the TT kits are doing. If it’s top end power, that would be disappointing, as that’s not at all what this truck lacks.

    Low-end power... thats is where our trucks are gutless... Turd Gens make thier power up high... we want to make like Corona and flatten that curve :rofl:

    Most importantly, I see that their superchargers for the 4.0 and 3.4 Tacomas carry CARB certifications. Presumably the one for our trucks will also (shows as pending). That makes this the system of choice for me. If it will pass California standards, it will pass anywhere else I may move to in the future. I really like the twin turbo setup from OVTune, but not being emissions legal makes it a no-go for me.

    So, OVTune will not be supporting the Magnuson supercharger. That's that.
