I have been depending on you guys lately. It seems like I am becoming a master mechanic through this forum. You guys do rock. Anyway, my 2006 tacoma's engine was removed and it seems that the main wire harness was detached and fed out the firewall on the passenger side. It's evident since the rubber boot is loos as heck and not held in place. I was wondering if anyone has purchased a replacement or have a work around.

    Thank you in advance!!

    Got any pictures?
Is the boot torn or what is the problem with it?

I dont have pictures. The boot is fine but it looks like its missing a part on the inside of the cab. The boot fits perfectly on the engine side but there is nothing to hold it in place from inside the cab. It looks like a fastener is missing. To replace the boot, I will have to purchase the entire electrical harness. A little expensive if I just want the boot to fit right.

On the inside the harness is basically just wrapped in a heavy vinyl wrap and there's one zip tie holding it to the metal support.

Here's a picture of mine (don't mind the circle).

You could probably just wrap it in electrical tape although that would make it a bit more difficult to get to J12 should you ever need to, the main thing is to keep it from rubbing on that metal bracket.
The zip tie is one of those with the oval push pin that holds it in place, I'm not sure where you can get those.

I'm going to type in oval push pin zip tie and see what I find.
