Do you have a tonneau cover? The 14" Max Modular rack is exactly what I want, but $125 for those extra brackets and like $70 for shipping puts it damn near $900

yes, I bought the tyger top off Amazon: its a good designed 2 bar (short bed version) top for a basement low price of $189 shipped.

    https://www.amazon.com/Tyger-Auto-TG-BC1T9045-2016-2018-Fleetside/dp/B01M1JZHLJ/ref=sr_1_9?crid=7UQEE48KICVC&keywords=tyger+auto+t1+roll+up+truck+bed+tonneau+cover&qid=1555082489&s=gateway&sprefix=tyger+%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-9

I like the straight up design of the max modular, and the abilities in accessories I can get for it.. looking at the long bed version they say itcovers the full short bed, and gives more space for mounting things.. like a CB/HAM antennae up front.. maybe some lights out the back (floods), and some side floods to match my cali raised ditch lights.. planning on getting some max trax sometime after, and locking mounts for them. (those things are PRICEY!! for a hunk of plastic)..

most all the racks are around that price range.. and the options they offer for accessories, and compatability are good. the only part I'm worried about is if they got their powder coating issues fixed....

I figure with the 14" rack (add 2" for the tonneau brackets) will put it at 16" leaving me 4" until the roof line.. according to ARB's website the height of the unit closed is 15" (different than what another site post at 12" closed.. I assume the other 3" is for the ladder?) would mean I have 11" of rtt package exposed above the roof line.. and if I have the ladder down the back this will reduce the wind resistance, and when opened will provide some shelter for the bed access. that is until I eventually get a roof rack.....

If you are both looking at the same rack you should contact them... at the very least you might be able to get combined shipping

    GOT THIS RESPONSE...

"We can do a discount for LEO's, but there would be no combined shipping discount, as shipping is based on weight and package size."

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. Also, shipping is only like $70, so it's really not that bad, it just adds up to be about $900 total which is a bit more than I was prepared to do. Especially for something I might have to repaint...

My AC was super weak driving down to NJ this weekend. And it seemed to get a little worse as time went on.

Anyone know any good shops in southern Maine that could check that out? I'd like to know if I have a leak, and then have them do a proper recharge of the system.

You might want to try one of those AC recharge kits....
I take my truck to my friend JEREMY at Village Center Auto.... the other guy I trust is @Tacoma Mike at Prime in Saco

Pretty simple to do a leak test, and repair from there... pray it's something simple... hopefully not the compressor, or condenser...

    :D

I would not use recharge kits as they can contain “stop leak”.
And who knows what they throw in those cans.
7 years is a good long time for ac to remain at peak efficiency.
And for sure ac systems do “seep” per say.
An evac and recharge and add dye will bring it up to full with proper pressure.
Then it can be monitored by someone with a black light.
It’s the best (not cheapest) way to go.
Discoloration of lines or connections is not an indication of a leak.
    Sometimes, not so simple...

Yeah Ive tried those cans once a longtime ago on my first car. Didnt work that good

I think a full evac and recharge is what I need.

    Seconded.
The 'recharge in a can' systems are frequently just 'spraying money into your engine bay'

Just putting out a feeler to see who would be interested in doing a FLuid Film meet up here in Maine. I am not trying to take away for those that are doing it in other states, as awesome as it is to meet up with other folks, spending a while day driving back and forth to have a 15-30 minute service just doesn’t work for me.

If interested please give a yell.

I'd definitly be up for a frame spray this fall.. looking to get under my truck this spring with a wire wheel, and some rust coonverter.. noticed a few trouble spots when installing my pop-n-lock kit 5 weeks ago.. also want to do the A/C/cowl drain mod. the one I heard of was using castor oil?, and melted wax, and spraying the hot wax/oil onto the frame.. and letting it set... supposedly it lasts longer...
