    Welcome to TW.

I spent the first 12 years or so in Bowdoinham, on Old Post Road, then in Richmond.

Welcome to the slowest thread on TW

I would imagine your truck should have no problem lugging that sort of weight around. Just keep it out of OD and leave some extra braking distance

well headed up to caribou, and then back down south to Sebomook lake via NMW with North wood excursions crew (mostly jeeps), hopefully its a good time, looking like rain/snow for driday/saturday... I prefer snow... just for shits and giggles I had my tires pulled and balanced... all 4 were out by around 1.75-2.75 oz... and a few were missing from the original mount/balance...

@Walksinsolitude what's going on at the corner there? Looks like they started leveling the lot out and got carried away so they turned it into a sand pit instead

I have no idea. At first I thought they were redoing the intersection due to accidents but probably another dollar store or something. The other one is a whole 3/4 mile away.

Well you do have the dollars store, the family dollar and the dollar tree. Folks need choices of places to be taken advantage of.

True. We already have family dollar and “weed mart”, I’m thinking methadone clinic would round it out nicely.

I was expecting a redo on the intersection as well, to level out the approach, when they tore that old house down. I've watched a lot of people almost get hit over the last 10 years because they carried too much speed down the hill on a slick morning. But they've cut in way too far back from the road for it to be that simple. Lot of sand there; you must not have any trouble with drainage around your foundation. It's all clay back where I'm at and things take forever to dry out in the spring.

Anyone know of a small house in the greater Portland area to the north side of the city (+/-30 mins) with a 2 car garage for sale? Semi-serious question haha. Been casually looking around and every time I see something half decent (that I can afford) its gone in under 24 hours.

This market is absolutely stupid right now

I was talking with a real estate agent about that area the other day and she said that the average house sale in Southern Maine/the greater Portland area has increased 125% in the last year. Not a great time to buy anywhere right now, but REALLY not a good time to buy in Southern Maine.

My daughter has been looking in the same area lately. Most houses are selling above asking price!. What's you budget? Even fixer-uppers are going for +$200,000!

You need to get yourself with a RealEstate Agent. I know a great person if you're serious.

You just about have to drive around and happen to see what you want. Then, come into the driveway and hold the house hostage and then call the realtor

Yup its absolutely nuts. Guess Im not serious enough yet. I was bummed cause I found a super nice looking place in Bowdoin (listed last night). By the time I talked to an agent this morning to get a showing scheduled it was already pending. Like WTF haha

If your serious, spend time with a realtor, let them do the work and let you know when something is available. That being said, I wouldn’t be buying right now. The high market is off setting the nice interest rates.
