They are not super great right now. Will be a slow bumpy trip. Also the ground underneath is still extremelyyy soft even though it looks dry and dusty on the top

Fam and I rode spencer rd from west forks to eustis 2 weeks ago. We didn't venture too far off the main rd, but came across a few downed trees on some spots that I just drove over. Other than that roads were ok. it's not "inside the gate" but it was nice to be up there

Thanks to @Norms_207 for the floor mats and a set of stock speakers! Maybe they will spruce up the sound over my worn out speakers. Great looking truck man! Really like the soft topper on the quicksand.

Thank you! I'm Portland based but grew up in York. Also I figured this thread is useless without pictures, so...

@BananaMan where are you? I'm in Farmingdale.

@Noelie84 if you're ever around Augusta, check out Cobbossee Beverage Shop. Hole in the wall with huge regional selection & fresh local meats.

Anyone know if there’s any threads on getting a group together to see the ghost trains on the golden road this spring? I did the trip two years back and would love to go again

Ya, my bad. That’s what I was thinking just not typing. And that’s a good beer store, first time there they guy hooked me up with a makeshift cooler and ice to keep my beer cold till I made it back to camp. When I am I the area, I now take 201 from Gardner to Augusta just to swing in.

No thread on that specifically, but there has been a North Maine Woods trip thread that’s been planned since before the vid.

Id be interested if a trip is put together.

That's the one on the main drag, by Bowie Brothers, right? I've been in there a few times. The GF's aunt lives in Farmingdale, so when we go visit I try to stop in there. They do have a good regional selection though, you're right. Much better than Damon's or that wine place in Manchester.

@Noelie84 that's the one! 2min from the house and they get $100-150 from us every few weeks. Very nice folks (imo) to boot.

I'm here, there, and everywhere. Work in dover foxcroft, better half is in old town so I'm there pretty often, ski up to sugarloaf at my folks place up there, and rent part of a house/garage in the Madison/skowhegan area. So where I am is just dependant on the day.

Yup, that thread is still alive for some reason. Personally I think that group is already way too big, which will end up causing problems. Not to mention covid and out of staters.. But anyway thats the same group (or person leading it) that did the trip you were on a few years ago @PErsing
