If you are near Cliff Lake between now and Saturday, stop by for a beer! My 11 month old grand daughter will with us. Wish me luck....

Were you at a private camp? I rolled into Cliff Lake spot around 630 or 7 Fri night. It was filled up with two larger parties. I didnt see you guys, so I just camped out at the upper area there. Was a real nice weekend up there, glad I was able to get the time off

Yes. The Macannamac camp is around the east side of the lake. You can't see it from the NMW camp sites. You were literally a few hundred yards across the water from me. The road to the camp is less than a mile from the camp sites.

    Hey, Mainahs.
I have some body work to be done. Our family 'guy' is too busy with teaching Auto Body at Cony to take more projects on.
Any recommendations for the mostly central Maine area?

Any tent friendly campgrounds still open in the state? Guessing not but worth a shot.

    Or

    B) any recommendations on easy to fairly easily accessed areas with a stock 4wd limo?

    Mahalo!

I think most campgrounds are closed. However, with no snow, there are numerous forest service campsites that are accessible. Get a Maine Atlas and Gazeteer and look for the little triangles. I stayed at one off of route 201 last weekend. Exploring for a place to camp is half the fun!

@Brownie_Man thanks! Threw it out to the 207 Overlanding fb page and consensus was the same. I'm embarrassed to say how long I've lived in Maine and have yet to get my own Gazeteer.

Saw this guy ripping up I95 in Bangor Friday night. It was hard to see any details, but it looked like a wicked cool rig. Anyone on here?

I've seen it around bangor a few times, interesting build for where we live for sure. Although I'm just as guilty saying that.
