Hi Everyone. Just brought home my first Tacoma. I'm located in Farmington, and very much looking forward to modding a truck. Normally I'm a Jeep guy, but it was time for a truck.

Congrats! I'm from Farmington originally; you'll have lots of chances to test out that 4x4 on some Jeep trails.

Thanks for the welcome. I grew up all over the western mountains, and there is certainly plenty of opportunity for getting dirty.

Still on just the Hell Bent 2.5" levelers in the front. I drove down to MA on Sat. and bought the Toytec AAL kit for the TSB pack and need to put those on. (THAT was an experience! Steve was great, price was awesome, but the weather? 75 minutes to get to Steve. 3.5 hrs to get home in that storm.)

It will likely be bonus time before I drop in the correct front lift and ditch the Hell Bent spacers. I'd like to get it at least 3" over stock as an end result. Then it's wheels and tires once the Michelins wear out. Or, wheels and tires and use the OEM w/Michelins for a few winters.

I have the benefit of using the motorcycle as my primary ride once spring arrives so I can put the truck up and work on it. But during the winter, I typically don't chance having it out of commission for any length of time. ;)

Anyone plan on attending this year? One reg cab taco did the mud pit last year. He made it through once then it got really rutted up and he got stuck the second time.

    Random observation over time...

Do you use your turn signal when you make a lane change? Over time I have noticed that most people in Maine do not. For some reason this annoys me... I dont know why.

I find this inteseting because us Mainers (myself included) are ususally bashing Massholes and New Yorkers etc. on their driving and lack of turn signal use. As lousy as they are, most of them use their turn signals to make a lane change (whether it is safe to do so or not). In fact, I have driven in almost every state and most people signal on lane changes.

How come most Mainers dont? Not like its hard! Random, I know...

I signal whenever I change lanes. What bugs me more than no signal is the "start to merge, then signal as you're completing the merge"
That drives me up the wall. It's like "oh, by the way, I already did that, in case you didn't notice"

Either that, or when people leave the blinker on only long enough for one blink....as they are merging. The one blink drives me nuts, but the worst part is in my head I sound like a 5 year old...."that doesn't count!"

Yeah, or the classic 4-mile blinker on a Lincoln Continental with a blue hair driving 10 under the limit.

I'm sitting in a little rental car in PA, wishing I had my Tacoma for the 8+ hr drive home this afternoon.
