Lol. I've seen lots of does, but none of them have been in the zone that my permit's for. When I've hunted that zone I've seen nothing but squirrels.
    Story of my life. :notsure:

    Zone 20; Kennebunk/Wells area

I hunt down there a couple of weekends during the season, but mostly I hunt either the Litchfield/West Gardiner or Chesterville/Wilton/Farmington areas. Problem is that it's almost impossible to get a doe permit for those zones the last few years.

I haven't been seeing any good sign in my normal areas, going to jump on the 4 wheeler and do some scouting today.

On a completely different subject, anyone have a best buy install a remote car starter in your truck? I want to get one put in but having a hard time trusting someone else to do the work.

Short answer is no. But I am curious as to how much they want to do it. Also, not sure where you live but Lee Toyota in Topsham is offering to install one for $319. If your truck is still under warranty you won't have to worry about warranty issues.

I was quoted around $360 at the Maine Mall Best Buy for the most basic viper unit they had. I have a few emails out to a few dealerships to see if they offer it, although it looks like Topsham might be the best price so far.

Usually the dealer themselves don't do it. They have a subcontractor come in and do it. Not sure that matters, just an fyi

I had the dealer put one in her old Pontiac. They had a subcontractor come in and do it. But since it was the dealers subcontractor they warrantied it. Iirc it was like $425, got it for her for Christmas one year.

Ok so I emailed a few dealerships.

Central Maine Toyota in Waterville doesn't install, sends people to Creative Sounds on Front Street in Waterville. Emailed them they quoted
    (1) If you have a G Key. It would run $369.98 plus tax or $390.33.
    (2) If you have a H Key. It would run $299.98 plus tax or $316.48 plus you have to have a Valet (A Key that Starts your truck and does not have the keyless on it). This key runs about $90.00.

Next I tried Charlie's in Augusta, $399 installed no info on what the starter is.

Also tried Emerson Toyota in Auburn, $499 installed.

Lee Toyota in Topsham is currently running a special, $299 installed if you have a G key about $100 more if you have the H key. The special is for an Omega ExCalibur RS-350-EDP. I haven't found a ton of info on it but it's being dealership installed, so I went with it.
    http://www.leetoyota.com/specials/index.htm

Getting installed on Tuesday, it will be a nice timesaver in the mornings getting the snow/ice off the truck.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
All of you Mainiacs, don't forget about Archie's in Wells, ME. I go to him for just about everything.
