Boston is an awesome city spend a ton of time down there, Standish is a good choice. I used to live close to there. You will have to go check out Middle Road. It's a cool place. Places to shoot, 4 wheel, dirt bike, fish, hunt, there are trails all over the place. Welcome to Maine.

Any suggestions for a fellow TW member on a place in Southern Maine (Westbrook area) that can do a full Transmission flush and install some 5100's that might be willing to work at a discount for pizza and beer? I haven't spent a whole lot of time in that area so I'm not sure if there's anybody who might qualify.

You can try parry motors. Chris is a nice guy and I worked with him. No pizza and beer but his prices are good.

I've been using Rutter's Garage on Pleasant Hill Rd in Scarborough. Unfortunately, I doubt there's a pizza and beer discount...

I don't know anybody with a portable transmission flush machine, though.

 

Usually people just do it manually by cycling the trans through the gears. All you really need is some tubing and a bucket with accurate measurements increments

I guess I need to reach out to see who would be willing to help me with the flush (based on the DIY thread here). I don't have the tools or space to do it, but would be willing to provide materials, help and beer & pizza (or any other form of reasonable compensation).

Maybe even the full coolant flush too.

I can give you a hand when i have a little more time if you can wait. I have to get through my crazy holiday rush. I have 3 weeks jam packed of fabrication work and coating to do. If you can make it through til just after Christmas I will have you covered. Otherwise there is a great transmission shop a few miles from me.

We can do it at my shop. I may help putting my new sleeping platform in too, so it will work out. Anyone else is willing to come up. I am going to fit one up inside the bed, drag it out and tig weld it all up on the table after.
