    hay wasn't there a old pow camp back there? I was coming on back from Jackman last year (deer hunt) almost turned down there off 201 decided not to had a 10 hour ride ahead of me to conquer.

    Yes there is. Not much left there. Turn on Spencer Road and drive straight. Follow the signs. It sneaks up on you, so just watch for it. Not much left in there. You can see big oven, there is scrap and parts and pieces off in the woods. There is a memorial for a guy in the back as well. They have a note pad for people to write down things to him or just sign in to say you visited him.

    I can take you up some time. Yes there were 4, not much left to be seen at any of them. Certainly some neat pictures. The "population" around the hobbstown pow camp has a lot of german ethnicity, they grew accustomed to being treated well and a nicer life here. Many stayed here after the war

    Sure thing. I'm right im Augusta so it's a short 2 hour and 15 minute ride. I'm heading up there the afternoon of the 20th to test my new rtt out and get a look at the area after a nasty winter there. You're welcome to come up if it fits your schedule

    you mentioned a nasty winter this year ! any worse than usual ? I hunt up in the Jackman & NMW and the deer population has finely getting back to almost normal from previous winter kill offs

    that is good to know, finely started seeing deer again up north last year, my buddy took a 232 pounder out of a setup that I was working for 3 day earlier then decided to change spots :annoyed:

    yah your right took him and another friend 6-7 hours just to drag it out to Kelley dam rd in the rain ,good thing for me I was back on Holeb rd back by the border, hahahahahah
