I'd take a couple packs of Yeungling, if you're going to be driving through the Lewiston/Auburn area on the highway. I picked up a pair of 24 packs when I was down in VA this spring and even though I've been nursing it along I'm nearly out

I can throw in some venison to sweeten the deal, if you've got a way to keep it cold.

Anyone having any luck moose hunting? We're starting in zone 10 today. Haven't seen much but it's early yet.

Aha, yeah, if you're deer hunting that would be bad luck. Maybe you can pick some up on the way back if you don't get lucky.

The Gardiner service plaza should work fine for me; it's only about 20 minutes from the house. I'll write myself a note to shoot you a PM on the 9th or so. What day are you planning on coming through?

He even smiled for the camera.

This photo gives the added bonus of knowing what you look like, so I'll know who to look for in November, haha!

Meh. There's a lot of those running around up here. 3 on my road alone, and it's a dead-end with maybe 20 houses, haha!

    Okay, will do. Thanks!

    Lot of those around, too.

Really if it's a truck, there's a lot of them in this state. :notsure:

It's my moms permit I'm just the chauffeur. I'm sure she'd be happy to get one just like him!

Saw more wardens than anything, a few partridge and a bunch of trucks. Hoping for some cooler weather, but it looks like we'll have to wait until Wednesday for that.

A successful moose hunt. He's a small, but healthy (no ticks) bull. Because of where my stepfather shot him, he resembles Glenn from the walking dead, with the bug eye. From left to right is Macy the dog, Me, Rob, my brother Danny, and stepfather John. The Tacoma was the lead vehicle in this hunt, and probably has a permanent mark of my moms face on the rear of the passenger headrest from where I hit the brakes when we saw this guy.

What zone were you hunting? My father in law is guiding a moose hunt for his first time in zone 8. I haven’t heard from them so I’m assuming they are still looking. I’m headed north towards Eustis or the forks in the morning maybe help out on the moose hunt or meet up with some old friends for some bird hunting.

This was zone 10. Saw him in t4 Indian purchase near the twin lakes. Pretty much the western border of 10. It's been tough this week due to the heat, but tomorrow and Friday are promising, as the overnight temps are going to be in the low 30s. The tagging station in midway had seen 3 all week, one a little over 300, ours was 530, and one a little over 550. There were 60 permits total for 10. We did see a few birds, and followed one young goober up the road for a few hundred feet. Reminded me of a college student walking down the middle of the road.

8 is a good zone. My buddy's mom has guided a few trips there in the past. They've done pretty well if memory serves.

My buddy's name is Jamie but his moms the guide, her name is Rae Wren. He told me a story before of her gutting out a moose and getting stuck in the chest cavity because she's about 5 foot nothing.
