R.I.P baby...you were so young..lol. Due to the rough Maine winter and icy road conditions..this build has ended, but check out my new build.

So I decided to make a new build page. Here it is. The build is a slow one so bare with me. I just wanted to keep track of my progress and show other people what I have done. I will post pictures as I add to my truck.

    The day I got it

Black LED third Brake light, window tint, and Tonneau Cover
    [IMG]
Took off that POS third brake light because it leaked and put the stock one back on and tinted it. 3 new LED bulbs.
The "Inspector" didnt really like my titned thrid brake light so I had to get this clear cover... Klearz.com.. thinking about painting the chrome underneath the lense black.

New Grillcraft. (She needs a bath!)

Then I got the 79 Land Cruiser Emblem
    [IMG]

12/26/11 I love this thing! Just got it on! Turn signals work and everything. I didnt bother to wire up the reverse light.

    SmittyBilt Tow Hook
    [IMG]

2/18/12 FJ TRD Center Caps Black :)

4/4/12- So I I had a problem with all my music equipment banging around in the back seats and beating up my console and sub. I saw another user made somehting similar to this so I gave it a try. Came out pretty good. Pulls right out and goes in the bed if you need to use the seats.

I also made a little box to go around my sub.

    Pic from the other side
    [IMG]

Also got my eyelids on! WHOOT!

8/24/12: Got sick of the stock Tacoma floor mats because they were too small on the drivers side so all the dirt ended up on the carpet..esp. in the winter. So I got Gray Weathertechs! Problem Solved.

8/28/12: I wanted to tint my fog lights but didn't want to use the film like a lot of other people have in fear of the harsh Maine winters getting salt and dirt under the film. So I used 2 coats of VHT Nite Shade, and a few coats of Clear Coat. Here is the one of the lights all done:

Fog Lights ON with 2 coats of VHT Nite Shade....Looks no different than before I tinted them:

And here are the tinted fog lights OFF...much better :)

    1/2/12 Shot me some suppah!

    11/27/12
    The Lift
    [IMG]
    More After the Lift
    [IMG]

Did some interior painting of dash rings, steering wheel emblem and shifter skirt. I want to do the tweeter rings and window button area next.

Custom Made Side TRD North Country Maine Decals by: ruggedT 12/6/13
    [IMG]

Masked off. Working on colormatching my new emblem. 12/14/13

    Finished Product:

5/14/14 Finally got the XD Revolvers on and the Duratracs. Better pics to come...

looks killer! Like what you've done so far. How did you mount the TOYOTA emblem to the grillcraft mesh? Screws or tape or?

Its a 79 Landcruiser Emblem and it had 2 or 3 studs on the back with 3 metal things that you push/pinch on the back once its in place. Almost like how a bolt and nut work. Then I just taped around the metal things so they wouldn't pop off. Have to be careful though because its all plastic.

Nice looking truck! I'm thinking about doing a similar lift on mine. I like a little height but not a full 3''. Did you have any trouble with vibrations after the lift?

I like the black center caps on your rims. Did you have to modify them to fit? I have Fj rims in mine and I like the look.

Good looking truck! really like the color. Did you have to do anything special to make the FJ center caps fit? I read another thread that lined out some steps to make them "fit" stock tacoma wheels, but since yours are the same as mine i was just wondering.

Great looking truck. I can't wait to see how she looks with the XDs on there. Pyrite & black wheels are a perfect match imo.
