    Hello,
I am new to Tacoma world. I just bought a 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 with 130,000 miles on it. The Carfax showed a maintenance record but did not always specify what had been done to it, most of the time it just says "vehicle serviced".
I am about to drive to Wyoming and am wondering if I should do any preventative maintenance on it?
I got it from a Ford Dealership that it was traded in at, bone stock, 3 owners, south Georgia truck

    Oil was changed at Ford.

My thoughts on what to replace/look at: serpentine belt (looks fine but might be original), check plugs, check air filter, rotors/pads (mild shaking in steering wheel when braking).

I've seen people talk about doing: T case/ diff fluid change, greasing U joints, idler pulley's. Are these worth doing or not urgent.

I want to be smart but also not change stuff that doesn't need to be worked on.

    Thanks!

Hey Noah, welcome to the forum and congrats on the truck!
The things you mentioned should be done at some point but I don't think they have to be done right away.
For the long journey I'd be looking for things that might strand you, such as coolant leaks, overheating, marginal tires, etc.
Look under the hood for signs of coolant seepage, it will likely be a pink crusty looking residue at hose ends, radiator seams, etc.
Look over and air up the tires, no bulges or cuts. keep a check on the oil and coolant reservoir when underway, and you'll probably be just fine.
