also it should show on your toyotacare profile. if it does not that's a issue. I don't know what they mark on the truck computer and i would like to see that.

I have had some real interesting issues and feedback regarding my 17 taco.

Uuuuu... it has to be on trip A to work. Make sure it's on trip A then turn off hold the ODO/reset button and it should reset just like any Toyota

If that was a response to my comment, when I said that they marked your visit in the computer, it was the Toyotacare computer system at the dealership that I was referring to. I once had a 2003 Dodge Dakota. in 2005, the motor blew with 36,500 miles on it and a 3 year 36,000 mi warranty. It was certainly a learning experience, to say the least.

Problem solved!!! Thanks again to all who responded. Turned out I was failing to distinguish between one push of the engine start button and two without stepping on the brake. After pressing and holding the ODO button while pressing the engine button a single time and getting no response (and I hate to admit I did this at least 50 times, always with the same result.....talk about the definition of insanity:) I set the ODO to Trip A, held the ODO button down, pressed the engine start button TWICE, and the irksome Maintenance Required message disappeared. After getting it wrong so many times, I finally understood the good advice from other subscribers and got it right!
