Wonder if the avatar pic is his truck but without a drop bracket lift. That’d certainly cause cv issues.

my friend was fish tailing in my truck in 2hi. he got stuck on an incline and switched to 4hi with the engine reved and the wheels turned. this pulled the passenger side cv from the diff. the next day he forcefully hammerd the cv back into the dif. a week later the DRIVER cv started clickin and poppin. we replaced both cvs(napa hd). after mildly wheelin twice the DRIVER cv boot coupling at the hub came off and the grease was everywhere. we removed the new cv which took me prying with a bar while he hit it with an air hammer gun and warrantied it this week. i zip tied the coupling with a thick zip tie and a tool to tighten it. i did some mild trail wheelin today. now the grease is seeping out under the coupling. anyone had this issue? what is the remedy? stronger cvs. new short axle? i am beyond frustrated called multiple shops no answes without inspection. PLEASE HELP

Is it the diff seal that is leaking or the boot?

My first recommendation would be to stop letting your friend drive your truck. Second recommendation would be to have an expert take a look and see what is wrong before you ruin something else in your drive train.

Tell your buddy to buy you new cvs. Both sides. A new front diff also. Oh and tie rods.

    All oem.

    That should fix the problem.

If he threw it into 4hi with the engine pegged and wheels spinning...I would be surprised if all that got damaged was the CV axles. Honestly I'd take it in to get a pro's diagnosis

So what I think I understand! Is you used a zip-tie instead of the stainless boot clamp?
Now you have grease leaking out under the boot? on the outer side of the CV axle?

    is this correct?
