Midwesterner here vacationing just east of San Francisco. I noticed the hanging ceiling light swinging and the window blinds swinging maybe an inch back and forth. Couldn't feel anything but still saw the swinging. Then looked up a recent earthquake map online. Maybe 300 miles away. Or was this just a coincidence? Love the climate here!

Most likely a coincidence , I live in the East Bay and felt nothing.... We are a 6-7 hour drive from the high dessert

Dang, was pretty sure that is what it was. Couldn't feel anything when I noticed it but still saw things moving in the house.

I mean I'm not a geologist so I could be totally wrong but I didn't feel anything or notice any movement

I don't really know them personally but I follow the Mt Whitney Facebook page and there were supposed to be a lot of hikers going up this week/weekend. It's been pretty steadily busy on the mountain for awhile now, getting to be a pretty popular hike

Just a couple weeks ago there was that one guy that went up solo and never made it home, they found his body on the other side of the mountain a week or so later

Which city in East Bay are you staying? Some old buildings in Oakland shake like a junky when the garbage truck drives past

Watching ABC7 News they're reporting from a San Bernardino County official there's a rockslide on hwy 178 and a large crack also reported on the the same hwy
