My wheel bearing is humming away. My vote would be that or you need the ecgs bushing.

Easy to test if it’s the needle bearing (which the ECGS bushing replaces)… when you hear the noise, put it in 4hi. If the noise stops, it’s the needle bearing.

Me too. Seems like the dealer is going through unnatural lengths to fix it. I wonder if they even reported the lift to corp.

There are multiple people complaining about this on here in just the past month. My truck does it, and some do it worse than others. My two first gen Tacomas did it also to some degree. It's two frequencies intersecting creating a done or a "beat" (as they call it in NVH terms).
Possibly a propshaft and an exhaust/engine vibration intersecting and causing a disturbance. You'll probably need to get used to it, Toyota isn't stellar in the truck NVH department. There are hacks to lessen it, working as a tech at a Ram/Jeep dealer in the 90's we got used to chasing these complaints. Sometime in the 2010's Chrysler finally got past this......they actually learned how to build a good prop shaft.

Love that movie. Ironic that he was listening to Physical Graffiti in that scene.

As others have mentioned, this sounds a lot like the needle bearing issue. More common with lifted trucks. Try switching to 4H and see if the humming goes away. If so, check out the ECGS bushing as an aftermarket option. Could also ask the dealer replace the needle bearing (if they are covering cost), but my understanding is your issue may return if you go back in with the OEM needle bearing...

A humming sound isn’t a clear indicator that the truck has a major drivetrain issue and I personally would never haphazardly replace expensive parts in an attempt to stop a humming sound. I would only replace those parts after an inspection determined they were faulty.

Either way, it sounds like the dealer is trying to make it right.

Bet the previous own beat on the truck. Get rid of it
