That's fine, it's my truck not yours! LOL. I realize it doesn't do anything for performance, but it looks purdy.

    :yay:

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin. Basically a recall without being mandatory or for safety.

The way I see it: if it says "TRD Off Road" I think OK it has a locker, if it says "TRD Sport" I think OK it has a hood-scoop, if it has no TDR sticker I think OK it has no locker or hood-scoop. My 2 cents.

So following that logic.. the TRD Off-Road is the only one worth anything? :p

What about all the TRD OR's that are debadged and have no sticker? ;)
Same goes for the prerunner badge screaming 2 wheel drive at you... in my opinion, but I have a 4x4 anyway :D.

I see your point. Either way, 99.5% of the population doesn't know the difference anyway. I think the trucks look equally cool with or without decals and badges.:D

Hell yeah! this just answered a questions I've been wanting to know for at least a year. :) I've been wanting a 07-08 long wheel base for a while but not even the dealers know the difference between the "sport" and the "off-road packeges"!!! So why dont they make the long wheel base tacoma with the off-road package??? That pisses me OFF!

Yes, there are other differences, obviously, but that's how I break it down when people ask. I wish my TRD OR had some of the styling from the TRD SPORT and I'm sure a few SPORT owners wish they had a locker but for my needs the TRD OR was the best option... I've had rear lockers in other rigs and now there is no going back.

It's kind of a bummer that you cant always get the exact vehicle you desire from the factory... I wanted a hood-scoop on mine when I bought it but now I could care less. And don't forget, if you can afford it just get the truck you want with the SR5 package or whatever and add an ARB air locker, it's an excellent product; you're looking at about $900 plus installation. I also got the JBL package with mine, it's good, but it's nothing I couldn't have had fab'd/installed for a comprable price.

At the get-go all I wanted was a Regular Cab TRD... they don't offer that either.
