Make your own underhood light with Rock Light LEDs

The overall engine temperature has deformed my first several versions that’s all. PLA+ is working for now and time will tell as summer is arriving. I may switch to aluminum once the clubs CNC machine is repaired.

 

Good to know. Thanks. Do you have a datasheet on the PLA+ that’s working? I had my prototype made in HP glass filled PA12. I believe it has relatively high temperature tolerance and good strength/flexibility. We’ll see how it works.

 

Ok was able to test out the first prototype brackets today, they work great! The material will be fine, but I’ll update in a week. I should have 10 sets of the universal mount next week sometime if anyone wants a pair. Just hit me up.

I will get a night shot later tonight, but light distribution should be much better with the lights pointing down.

Alright, the new universal brackets are ready to ship! These work with the KC Cyclone or the Amazon/rigid lights I posted in the first post. $25 shipped will get you a pair of brackets and mounting hardware.
