I wasnt trying to argue, I was simply stating a fact, my estimating system shows all the new color matched flares are paint to match now on the 2009 and 2010 and then they sell a black textured one too. They used to make them in color but it is probably cheaper to manufacture it paint to match. The part numbers are the same, I would get with a Toyota Body Shop not parts department , the body shop will know exactly what you are talking about. The list on the flares is 271.11 each and paint adds about 75 and the rears are 328.84 each.. I put them in my system and it is over 1500 for all four painted and installed...

Well I appreciate the advice I'll definitely see if I can find a local body shop that does more Toyota work. I've been to all 4 that my Toyota dealership sent me to. Actually the guy that gave me the quote today told me he looked it up while I was on my way to his place and it looked like the ones I had were the only ones available, so I guess maybe he just doesn't do many Tacomas.

I'll probably keep prowling on here until somebody decides to upgrade to the bushwackers and see if I can get a good deal on theres and get them repainted if I have to. Same thing with the bumper.

I just can't see paying $1500 for new fender flares. It'd be cheaper to trade my truck in and just upgrade, I'm still under 5k miles on it.

Thats what I would do too. You can probably find them in color if you keep searching and are patient.. Good luck with it.

There are a bunch of guys on here Changing the Fender Flares to Black. Perhaps you can make a post here, TTORA, TN, & CT to see if anyone would trade you.

Then you can maybe add some $$$ to sweeten the deal. The front bumper can be Had easily if you wait! People strip them off all the time for Aftermarket ones. You can get an excellent one for $150 to $250 already painted. You can sell your all black one for $100.

These are a thought and with the Color Silver. Its very common to find the parts. :D

Try looking for RAD RED....PFFFffffTTT, forget about it.

    Good Luck.

Thanks Buddy. I figured its worth a SHOT to save this guy some Coin.

Here is what you should give a try.

You can ask people for a trade and what you're willing to pay someone.

    1. Post in your local Craigslist or Cities you're willing to drive to
    2. Post Here
    3. Post of CT ( CUSTOMTACOS forum )
    3. Post on TN ( TOYOTANATION 05+ TACOMA forum )
    4. Post on TTORA forum

You can GOOGLE all of them and join the forums. Although this site is the BEST. The others are very informative and house other info.
Most members here browse the other forums. I know I do.

my local linex dealer said if you take off the bumpers: $60/fender and $100$/bumper for color matched bed liner, that would look sick and with the money you save you could even have him spray between your wheels on the side truck witch will help with rock chips.

guaranteed for life color matched bedliner VS. 0 guaranteed paint that could chip?

I'm actually taking a weekend trip backpacking next weekend. Right now we're supposed to be going to Arkansas, but we could always take a wrong turn.

You think it would be too much of a hassle to ship to Louisiana? I'd definitely be willing to make it worth your while.

You have any photos of yours with the bushwackers? I haven't completely ruled them out, just haven't seen enough of them to really appreciate them maybe.

Would you be interested in shipping either of them if I padded your pockets for your troubles of boxing them up?

Shipping shouldn't be that bad. It'd be a pretty big box but it shouldn't weight very much.

I would think you could just wrap them in bubble wrap and stick them in a box that would hold them. Looks like thats how the dealer had them shipped to him today. Also if they got some light scuffs in the shipping process it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I'd have to get them repainted anyways.

If you would shoot me a pm and let me know what you're asking for both of them.
