Making a lowly SR 4-Cylinder extended cab look rugged and bad ass?

    Hello all,

My dad has a 96' Tacoma 2-door, still going strong. I was always fascinated with the fact that this little, tiny pick-up was still driving (and driving well) after 20 years of heavy use. So I decided that my first car would be a Tacoma pick-up truck, just like my dad's. I got a pretty sweet deal on a 4-Cylinder SR extended cab (2016), so I went with that. Granted, it's nowhere near as fast or powerful as the beautiful TRD or Limited models, but it still's a bad ass looking mid-size truck. I don't need to lift it, since I'm not going off-roading with it (obviously) and don't really need the extra height. I also live in Florida, and the land is completely flat.

With that being said, what parts can I purchase that will give my truck a rugged, bad ass look? I've been looking at different bumper guards, but I really don't know much about brands. I do wanna switch out my tires/wheels as well, to something with a more off-terrain look. Some suggestions on mud flaps would be great, too

Congrats on your nice new truck! Some new shoes will look great. I've heard from other members to be careful on bumper guards, they may cause more damage in an accident than not having one at all. I don't know for sure, but you may want to research it a bit. Some easy items might be some fog lights or a custome grill. Hit up @HomerTaco for info on grills. Welcome to Tacoma World!

Thanks guys! What are the best places to buy some wheels? Also, now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind lifting my truck just a little bit... but it's a 2WD, and I heard it was tough finding lift kits for those.
