Was curious if you upgrade your sport suspension to off road suspension or the 5100 does that void warranty?

No, they have to prove that the upgrade caused the issue you are having.

I have an OR. I haven't needed to use my locker yet. I've used it to make sure it works, but I've never needed it.

It's nice to know it's there in case I get in trouble though.

Yes and no. They have the advantage they can tell you to pound sand. Now it's up to you to pay for a lawyer and take time to fight it. Customer not at the advantage.

Or try a different dealership that will do the repair.

    What a fun truck!
I did the same thing a couple months ago. The Sport 4x4 did so well that it made me giddy.

Yeah, you will do fine with a sport. Crawl control is not something I would use even if I had it, to be honest. From what I have heard it beats the shit out of your rig. In Tahoe everyone has Subaru's and they get around just fine even with the low ground clearance. I was up there last weekend and there was a ton of snow, all the roads were plowed expect for the neighborhoods. If you are looking to get into some heavy snow, air down and stay on top of it. I was pushing 1 foot of snow in 4-high and straight mashing up by Homewood. Hella fun..

    Like, so many.
I watch TacoBandit on YouTube. He has an OR with the shorter wheelbase. His friend has a Sport with the long wheelbase and stock tires. They off-road together all the time. I don't think I've ever seen the OR go somewhere the Sport didn't. Granted, it's not super hardcore off roading, but it's not a joke either. I think you'll be impressed with your Sport's capabilities.

I have a 15 off road and took it to the dunes the first day I got it. Didn't need the locker til I got into some deep sand. Like a couple others said, take it out stock and see what it's capable of before making any upgrades. You may be surprised.

Just use your truck. You will learn from new friends in the area and what you want to do might change on the truck.

I've surprised myself what a stock 4wd system can do.

My 17 is a sport and I just went to the snow last weekend in it for the first time. I didn't get crazy or push its limits by any means, but there was about 1' of snow on the road and it did great.

Honestly the only thing I would do for now is remove that Air Dam the Sport has in the front.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. Tires is where I will start. I prefer not to get into the other stuff anytime soon or at all.

OP, I'd buy tires and just try things out before you spend more money.

Edit: Air dam removal would probably be good too.
