I’m guessing you want the seat lower, correct? That’ll be tougher than raising it with spacers. Do you have a sun roof? I had to get my OR without the sun roof since my head hit the liner with sunroof. If you like the Tacoma otherwise, you might consider trading for one without the sunroof rather than going with a Colorado.

Mine is without the sunroof; my head also touched the frame around the sun roof so we bought the regular TRD Sport. I very much would like to Tacoma but indeed I need to lower it a bit and it needs to be adjustable because right now it is perfect for my wife but any lower would not be good for her.

Thanks so much for your replies. The issue is indeed that the seat is a bit too high. I can see from the pics and descriptions that raising it would not be a big deal; lowering and making it adjustable however is. I sent an email to Corbeau in England to see if they have any answers but they probably don't even know what a Tacoma looks like given that they have Hilux over there

I have to say for a Truck that was built for the US market there is so little head room especially in my Limited with the sunroof. I have to lean my seat back a little farther than I really like to and I still cannot fit my hand between the top of my head and the headliner. Im 6'1" but most of my height is in my body. Sadly I have more head room in my sons 2011 corolla than In my 16 Tacoma and I really have to scrunch down to get in and out. My 14 Highlander has plenty of head room and adjustable seats. This is deff one of my biggest complaints about this truck.

One thing to think about in raising your seats are the arm rests and center console. Both will be lower obviously in relationship to the seat. I liked to rest my elbow when holding the wheel. That doesn't work now so I have rest my elbow on the window sill. No rest for my right elbow as the console is too low. I set my set up 2", 1 1/2 with spacers and 1/2 with a Masque seat cover. I really like the height. Feels like a new truck.

Should have mentioned that I have a 2015 Access Cab. Not sure how to edit my information.

This has been one of my gripes from day one....buying a loaded trdOR and no power drivers seat.

Also I find thAt the steering wheel doesn't extend out far enough when I have the seat close to okay.

Take the seat out, go to a local fabricator and weld cut an inch out of each leg just above the bolt hole. Make a pattern of the 4 legs first so that once cut and welded, the pattern is the same. Should not cost more than $100 total compared to $5k you mentioned.

During the final few years of the Genertion 2 production a power seat was offered in the Tacoma Limited model. Given that the cab of both Generation 2 and 3 are so similar it may be possible to relatively easily modify a Gen 2 seat to fit a Gen 3. Step I is find a drivers seat from say a wrecked 2015 Limited then go from there.

Not being a dick... Legit question. why would you want to raise the seat if he's feeling crammed bc he's so tall?

5’-11” here and after reading all the front seat lift comments I did use 2 hockey pucks to raise the drivers seat 1” in the rear. After driving for a week I eliminated the spacers and like the seat height better stock.

Back thigh support is non-existent. Raise the front of the seat only, and maybe you will be a little more comfortable. Or better yet, do what a previous poster suggested and cut the rear mount down by an inch. Lowers seat, increases seat front to rear rake, increasing thigh support. Damn, why didn't I think of that before?

And in a few short years, take it to the body shop to fix the wheel well rust and faded clear coat. Enjoy.

Seems like a lot of guys on here wanna jack the back of the seat higher, if for some reason I wanted to do anything to mine it would be as you suggest in raising the front of the seat.
