Extremely happy for you OP....good for you. I have a 2011 TRD Sport that I bought used at a deal. I was lucky enough that I saw it and could scoop it up. I've always loved tacomas...but haven't always been able to afford one. So when I saw the deal on what to me was my "dream truck", I got it and guess what....it's still my dream. It's whatever makes you happy my friend. Personally I think your truck looks awesome....it's clean and what you've done to it so far is just enough. You haven't overdone it if you get what I mean. I can appreciate that and love looking at everyone's trucks and mods. Congrats on being able to score a 2016! Enjoy your truck!

FWIW, and not trying to "stroke you" because of your kind post(s), your truck looks great, too! Congrats!

I love your truck just fine. My initial question was just about the body colored fender flares. I thought you might have the Off Road but took the time to have the professionally painted them body side color. An option I personally think should exist. I only noticed the SR5 badge after closer inspection, which of course was the ah ha moment on why the fender flares were silver. Did NOT mean to cause grief. The SR5 stickers look great and you're totally legit now. My next Taco will be a 4x4 too. Until the I am getting by with my lowly Prerunner. Here's my POS. :)

or the manufacturers and shareholders would just have to take less profit. Oh wait, how dare I speak like that!

    nice truck OP!

Question... Besides the tech, what else am I losing if I go SR5 instead of TRD Sport? I had already planned to add 5100s and other tires to my Sport (if I go that route). Anything else I'm losing?

now that's interesting considering many Sport owners swap the grill, shocks, and tires immediately.

I'm really not sure what ALL the differences are, but I think it is this: color-matched front bumper (center section), grill (chain link look), hood scoop, wheels, side graphics (TRD Sport),...optional items I'm not sure of (premium JBL audio), (Crawl control), (locking rear differential). This is what you lose...I think, but again I'm not certain.
