making locked rear

    which way would be cost effective to lock the rear on my sr5 prerunner? its not a trd. can i get a perminant locker?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Lock rite is a decent auto locker. Not sure if Detroit Tru Track is availible yet. More expensive options are ARB...

    how do i engaged it or is it always engaged(what i want). i burried my truck in mud when only one tire was spinning and couldnt drive much at pismo. if i can add a locker i will keep the truck. if not im gona trade it in on a 4x4 trd

    A lock rite is always engauged, until you turn on a hard surface. The ARB is an air locker, and is on when you want it, and off when you dont

    so which is better for me. if i got the arb would i have to buy a wiring harness, button, etc. or do you manually lock it. (non trd prerunner)

    You would need an air compressor, but I belive the wiring is included. The Lock Rite is automatic, with no button to push

    lock rite automatically engauges. ok. arb does work with my axle. so how hard would it be to install the arb?

    Its a bit of work. You have to run an air line thru the housing and such. If you have never done anything like that before, get some one who has, or have someone do it for ya.
