I have Bilstein 5100s set at 2.5 up front, a 1 inch rear lift, and JBA UCAs.

    I have 285/70R16 Trail Grapplers now (32"x11.5"), and want to go to a 305/70R16 Falken Wildpeak AT3W (33"x12.2"). I also have 16x8" -12 offset SCS Ray10 wheels.

Has anyone tried a similar setup themselves?

My question to you guys is, can I fit the 305/70R16s with a standard cab mount chop, some plastic trimming, and set my caster at 4 - 4.25 degrees? Or would I need a cab mount relocation or something? I would rather just do 285/75/16s if I have to do a full-on relocation. The only reason I want the 305s vs 285s is for the extra width since I already have 32x11.5 tires. I know it's not functional, but just I like fat tires.

Here's a pic of how it sits with the current setup:

    Thanks for the advice!

Theyre actually the same height 32.8 “ the 285 is 11.2 wide while the 305 is 12 wide. Will the tire place let you test fit one?

Yeah, the width tends to be the main problem when it comes to oversized tires. My current 285s are basically a wider version of a 265, so I'm a little hesitant going up an inch in both height and width. I would also have to special order the 305, so I don't know if a test fit is in the books as of now... Thanks for the suggestion though!

Do you go off road a lot? Reason I ask is I can vouch that 305s fit with a regular cmc and fender trim near the body mount for daily driving. I have some rubbing in reverse at full lock but I think it’s cause my caster is too high on my drivers side only. At about 4.3 vs my passenger side is at 3.7.

Can confirm, 305s will fit with a standard CMC and light fender trimming near the cab mount. I offroaded a lot and had an occasional light rub. Didn’t see much flexing from rock crawling though. And of course the usual light rub in reverse.

I had a very similar setup:
    Bilsteins at 2.5
    SPC uppers
    16x8 -11
    305/70r16 Fierce attitude
Alignment was mostly seized in place with somewhere around 2.5° caster on each side

Ran that setup for 5 years with absolutely no issues!

    Thanks for the responses guys!
I do go off-road a decent bit but not like rock crawling or anything. A crappy fire road with lots of lava rock is about the worst I get so I have only maxed out the travel on my suspension a few times that I can remember.

Sweet, that's about as close of a suspension setup to what I have as you can get so I'm sure it'd work.

Anyone else with a setup like this? I'd love to see some pictures!

You’ll be good with a cmc and trimming. I get some minor rubbing toward the front of my wheel well liner, which I need to trim down. But I have a 285/75/16. A buddy has 305s and it fits fine

315s with 2 1/4” lift. Cut fenders cmc etc. the only time I’ve rubbed anything was my cmc while at full lock dropping the front about 12” down a rock 984DF83B-5914-4026-9073-31B5BECFF757.jpg

I'm running 305/65/17 tires on 17x8.5 with -10 offset. My truck already had the pinch weld and fender trimming but no cmc. I run the SPC UCA's at position E and I get just a little rubbing at full lock usually on inclines. But the tire shape probably helps. I have the AMP AT tires and they have more of a crown to them.

Thanks guys, great pictures! I'm thinking I'll CMC, pinch weld, and I already have the inside of my fender flares cut out, so I should be good with an aggressive-ish alignment!
