I have checked out the search function and tried to answer my question but have no luck.

I'm wanting to know why some people are mentioning running old man emu coils with 5100's set at 0. And what kind of lift does this give or what benefit then raising up the 5100s.

My stock springs and 5100's set at 1.5 is not high enough for me. I'm going to raise the 5100's to the max, but I'm trying to make sense of my options. I want to keep the 5100s but am willing to buy new coils if it will level
    my truck out.

    Thanks for any help.

From what I have gathered everyone runs the 5100s set at 0 because if they run an after market coil and crank the 5100 up it his maxing out the limits of the suspension geometry.

Also preloading an after market coil, which is how the 5100s give lift will cause it to be very stiff.

Also that maxing out the 5100s shortens the distance they can move up and down because it's extending the strut out so far. So they bottom out more.

So I'm gonna buy toytec 3 inch springs for my 5100s and keep them at 0. Should get the lift I need that way.
