    Hi guys,

I've read a bunch of the posts and can't seem to locate exactly what I'd like to do.
I was going to add external amber fogs for winter driving but it occurred to me that Toyota installed a perfectly good set as turn signals.
I have an 05' DC without DTRL.
Ideally id like the turn signals to be steady-on when either the factory fogs or the headlights are turned on (whichever is easier) and to blink as normal when I hit the blinker switch.

Any thoughts or links regarding wiring it up would be appreciated.
Is it as simple as adding a wire from the markers 3rd (unused) outlet to the blinkers??
Im Not to worried about any legal side concerns that folks may fret over.

It is as simple as adding a wire from the markers 3rd (unused) outlet of the blinkers, which could be energized by the tail lights circuit. But heat would be an issue due to both filaments being one when selecting turn signal.
Or you could add the DRTL harness and flasher to your 05. But the turn signals go off once you select headlights.

That's interesting, I wonder if there is a way to turn my stock tires into Michelins.

Thanks caribe. heat is in part why I thought perhaps wiring em out to the fogs might be a better idea as I normally only run fogs when I need em so the added candlepower of the front ambers would be a huge plus.

As far as turning my tires into michelins?
    Who runs stock?
And who the heck runs michelins??

    Wait for it...
Sub'd!!! I've been after this same idea but not for illumination purposes. I personally like the look of the park/fog combo & those little 194 bulbs on the corner do nothing for the ego

The title of the thread is misleading. I originally read it and thought, WTF?! Why would someone want to use their turn signals as fog lights? Lol

Are you wanting to come on once the key clicks acc mode or with a switch?
