Went to Firestone and got an alignment today. Fixed my camber issues and the squealing when breaking. Alignment was way off. Going to rotate tires on wednesday and needed to put some leaf spring clamps on the front as they keep moving around.

Toe was crazy far off. Tires where pointing away from each other which caused them to sit funny. Not sure how it got so far off. Think one of the jam nuts on the tie rod got lose.

After some cutting and grinding, got the new winch in. Things huge and weighs a ton but we got it in. Also ordered a e locker guard, rear pinion seal to fix the leaky 3rd, and aluminum fairlead from @Low Range Off-Road. Stuff should be here next week then i can spool my new synthetic line and check that off the list. Cant recommend these guys enough. Just about everything I've ordered has come from them. Great customer service and super helpful.

    Carpenter Canyon
    07/16/2016

After my buddy backed out last minute to go camping friday night to saturday due to some unexpected things, I was left without a buddy to go wheeling. After much debating, I ended up going with a local 4x4 group to do a fairly easy trail Carpenter Canyon. Like most trails here in Southern Nevada, it started in Pahrump and went up to the back side of Red Rock. Its mostly just a wash with dirt roads but is fun none the less. Especially at the end when the trail connects with a small stream fed by a spring and ends in a nice shaded area with the water running by.

We all met up at a gas station and paraded up to the trail head. There a few aired down and I was optimistic and decided not to but regretted it because I got beat to crap throughout the day. Last time I wont lol. We got on the trail and bounced our way along. We took some side trails that were pretty cool and tight. It was nice being in the trees and out of the heat. It was also pretty cool going with a big group. First group ride and I had a lot of fun. Ended up being 7 cars. Total. 3 FJs, 1 Terraextreme, a ford, tundra and my tacoma. Most where stock except for one fj that had a custom LT kit on the front with kings and hydro bumps all around. We made it to the end of the trail and made our way back down. The trail leader had some other routes saved and as a group decided to explore one of the ones that parralles the trail we came in on. Ended up being really good and turned a in and out trail into a nice little loop with some elevation gain and some good up and down hills.

All in all, another good trip in the truck but its driving me nuts lately. Ordered a new flange seal for the rear 3rd since it started leaking a while ago to replace it since its throwing oil everywhere. But also noticed the transfer case has now also started sweating oil. Not sure where its coming from so will look into this week and try to get it all sorted out before the weekend. Driver side axle seal still looks like it is leaking so may replace that as well. Just not sure if its actually leaking or if the grease is just breaking down and leaking out. Trying to move foward and finish some things with the truck but keep having to fix stupid things.

Anyways, some photos. (Forgot my camera and still need to get a new lens bu some pictures from the group)

Well for the 3rd time, I have to pull the tcase again. The seal between the prerunner adapter and tcase has failed and tranny fluid has now filled the tcase... AGAIN. Going to call and see if the marlin eco seal will fit the adapter and hopefully have it thrown in the box with the other goodies im getting. Since the truck is un driveable for now, going to do the axle seal and pinion seal and hopefully get my bed side tubes bent to protect them.

Be patient, when i first built my duals it seems like i was dropping them monthly. They seem to settle in after a while and you forget they are there. Its almost like they need to break in lol.

Hopefully! Just a huge pain to drop and put everything back together. Plus the oil makes a mess.. Maybe this will be the last time. Fingers crossed

Well still waiting on parts to fix the tcase and axle seal. Buddy with the xj came over on friday and we got started on a rear bumper. Nothing fancy. Took most the day to make the mounts. And a small fire at the end of the day made me call it quits. Be careful where you leave your grinders!! I think between the heat (Temps got close to 115) and a few leafs smoldering, grinding table caught fire. Caught it before anything bad happened. Have to redo the table though.

Still have to cut the sides, cut the hole for the hitch reciever and weld on the recovery points. Then we will mount the spindle and make the swingout.

And got these almost done today. Got the mounts made and the main tube bent. Just have to bend the tube from the frame to tubing and make a mount for some new mudflaps. I think it came out pretty good. Still have to trim the driver side tube though.

Got a ton of work done this weekend since it was a little cooler out. Yesterday we pulled the tcase, changed the seal to a marlin eco seal and got it put back in. Hopefully we are done messing with that.

Replaced the driver side axle seal since it was leaking gear oil and then got the front range brake proportioning valve in.

Also got the new winch line spooled on as well. Tcase and tranny are full and so far no leaks. Still have to put the center console and skid plate back on but should be able to do that tuesday or wednesday. Hoping to get the bed side tubes done this week as well.

I can get some. It's not an easy thing to do. Lots of stuff going on in a tight place and If your not careful, could easily kink a line. Having two people made it easier.

Photos for reference would be sweet. There's a guy North of me that did an install, but the photos and documentation are buried in the TW abyss.

Also, I picked up an ultra guage last minute. Did you recieve yours yet? Did the isolation cable do its job? I ordered it since it was only $6 anyway, but curious how it turned out.

Ill try to get some on Wednesday when I mess with the truck.

I should get mine today but not sure when I'll be able to mess with it. Did the same as you since I didn't want to mess with cutting cables and was only 6 bucks.
