Hello all! This is my first time tracking the progress of my vehicle over the course of several years. I'm very sure that it will take this long for me to get my Tacoma to its final form. I recently purchased a 2019 Cavalry Blue TRD Off-Road. After hanging around here for several days, the list of mods began piling up from damn that's useful to that truck's stance is sick. As such, this build thread is somewhat selfish to allow me to track all of the mods that I would like to do on the truck in the future as well as to document the progress in pictures.

As far as my intended purpose for the truck, it's a mall crawler for now but I do think I would like to give off-roading a try as I've never really done it before and I think it could be fun. I do have some reservations about getting out there with such an expensive truck in its current state though. I think I'd want to get some more protection in place before I went. I also know next to nothing about this so others may be able to give me some more insight here as to if I really need certain protections before getting out on the trails. I've also been very interested in getting into mountain biking so the truck will serve its purpose there as well.

Overall, I'm very much enjoying my truck so far and I hope that you guys enjoy following through this thread as I build it out into what I want it to be.

    Current State:

    Planned Mods:

    Exterior:

TRD Pro Grille (Purchased, not yet installed)
SCS Ray 10s (Undecided on wheels, later plans for suspension will probably push these into the future so I can put something chunkier on)
Black Out Emblems (I'm planning on plasti-dipping for now but may do a swap in the future or vinyl overlays)
Vinyl Overlays TRD OR Wheels (Purchased, not yet installed)

    Interior:
Seat Mod (Undecided on if I want the front or rear spacers. I've been driving around with a bath towel in various locations to try and decide on which to go with)
Factory Speaker and Head Unit Replacement (I will probably take a phased approach here. I want to replace the factory head unit with a unit that does Wireless carplay so that will be first up followed by new speakers at a later time.)

    Suspension:

No plans currently. I need to do a lot more research in this departement to figure out what direction I want to go. I know that I want to get rid of the taco lean and do a small lift (probably in the range of 2-3"). I think this section may get fleshed out more depending on how my interests in off-roading go as well.

    Performance:
OVTune (Purchased the dongle already but I need to get the tune and load it up)

    Misc:
    Remote Start

I’ve got same truck. Did the black out with new emblems and purchased the bigger emblems for under door (plastic dipped too), took the rear sticker off, blacked out Toyota in back.

I plasti dipped my grill and the chrome on the outside; looks great n unique.

I couldn’t decide on rims and went with vinyl covers and they look good so I’ll hang onto a couple grand until I see something I love. I plasti dipped the chrome on the center cap too.

I’m really interested in the tuning, but there site is offline for a month. Looking fwd to hear how it helps out ride and mpg.

    have fun
