I picked this cooler up from Maluna due to watching the video of it keeping ice longer than a Yeti at half the price. I also like the design and features. I had planned on getting an RTIC, but didn't want to wait along with the chance to give a new product a try. I will post a real world review of it as I use it. The first big test will be in a couple weeks when we head to FJ Summit with many stops along the way.

I bought a white one, but one of the cool features is the custom colors! I would have gotten one in a different color but the white was available in time to be sure I had it for Summit.

First impression is that it is a well made piece. Seems high quality and rugged. I like the removable feet and the fact that they provided allen wrenches for the hinge plates and feet. I did have to tighten those up a bit initially as they were a little loose. The digital thermometer/drain plug is interesting as well. I dunno if I'll use it though.

I've got a color one on order. Waiting for it to be shipped (should be sometime this month). Thanks for the review, but it's making me want the cooler even more now.

Yeah I had a Shark Grey one on order, but e-mailed to find out when it would ship and Scott replied telling me the colored ones would ship in a couple weeks but I could get a white one now. I'm not too worried about it, I just wanted to be able to use it!

I'm gonna buy some today, get some beverages and give her the old test.

Nice. I don't think I'll buy another cooler unless mine is stolen, but I'm totally interested in affordable options out there now.

So I put about 30 lbs of ice in the Maluna 50 along with assorted drinks. I didn't "precool" the cooler or the drinks, although a few beverages did come out of my fridge. I also didn't pack the cooler as full as I possibly could.

I put the cooler on my back patio at approximately 6pm. I'll open it every hour or so before I go to bed. The temperature is about 93 degrees outside currently and the cooler will be in the shade for the rest of the day, but spend most of tomorrow in direct sunlight.

13 hours later. Not too much difference in the ice structure. This is after I dig around looking for my Rockstar.

24 hours, it sat outside in the 90+ heat on my patio. Most of the time in direct sunlight.

Interested, really like the handles compared to a YETI or RTIC

48 and 72 hour updates. It was 95+ on one day and 100+ the next.

96 and 120 hour updates. After 5 days of sitting on my back patio in the heat and sun all the ice finally disappeared this evening. The water is still very cold. In my non expert opinion this is a pretty dang good cooler. I like the handles and the built in bottle opener. The seal is nice and beefy and when wet had ALOT of suction, as in hard to open.

Mine finally was delivered and I'm very happy. Definitely seems to be nice quality.
