Heading up to camp/wheel/hike/fish beginning of October for a week. I've never been up there without snow so any advice on trails and places to go are much appreciated! I've also heard there's lots of hot springs in the area. Any advice welcome.

Well, can't provide much help on wheeling in the area. On hiking / camping, a beautiful hike starts at Agnew Meadows (there's a campground there). You hike NW from the campground / parking area past Olaine Lake, head west to Shadow Lake, then Ediza Lake, then south to Iceberg Lake. I suspect there's fishing in Shadow and Ediza, but not sure how good. It's 7 or 8 miles each way to get as far as Iceberg Lake. West of Ediza are Banner and Ritter Peaks, depending on your skill level. There also are Garnet and Thousand Island Lakes if you keep going northwest from Olaine Lake instead of cutting west to Shadow.

You get to Agnew Meadows via the Minaret Summit Road -- it's bus only in the summer, but by October you can drive in. Further down Minaret Summit Road is parking for Devil's Postpile and Minaret Falls. Short hikes but sort of interesting.

Depends what you're looking for, I just did Laurel Lakes and it's about a 4 hour trip.

    **Thread revival***

Looking to hit up Mammoth Lakes again this summer. Haven’t been in a couple years, hoping somebody on TW has a summer home or AirBnB they wanna rent to a TW member.

    Anybody?

Additionally, typically we go during 4th July weekend or shortly after. This year looking to go mid June, not entirely sure how the fishing is early June. Any insight?
