    Glad you are ok.

Geico did a great job on my 1st gen being totaled in October. I was hit by an uninsured driver and they paid me the next day. The adjuster took everything on my truck into the payment. Even the value of my brand new tires. Only bad thing is they canceled me and I only had one other claim in 8 years, when my wife hit a deer. I told them thanks for the check and to fuck off in the same sentence. It was a blessing in disguise. Took me 5 minutes to find another company and saved $400 a year with more “perks”.

Progressive. They didn’t even bat an eye at covering us. We both have over 800 credit score and clean driving records, not even a ticket in 10 years. It took me by surprise but like I said it was worth it.

I’m thinking totaled, also looks like your transmission exploded all over the cement.

Glad you are ok, get checked out too. You can always replace a truck, at least you walked away.

Glad you're okay and this is why one of the first things I'm getting is a front/rear dashcam for insurance purposes.

    Glad your ok....looks totaled

Around these parts you would be at fault for that crash. Following too close, driving at unsafe speed etc.

What parts would that be? Improper lane change would be the violation in most, if not all states.
Say I was on a 4 lane freeway in the 4 lane and thought hell with it I like the 1 lane better and charged over there. Is it everyone else’s responsibility to watch out for me?

Get a lawyer, You will be fucked over by your/their insurance. There isn't middle ground with negotiation with them anymore. Even simple things are an absolute PITA do deal with. Talk to the police and tell them exactly what happened, don't give a statement to the insurance company beyond exactly what you told the police , don't claim or deny injuries, don't state anything to them without a lawyer. Anything that can will be used or contorted against you Johnnie Cochran style.

I tried to go it alone on a very straight forward accident with dash cam footage and excellent documentation. I battled two years before I was forced to sue before statute of limitations ran out. I won fairly handedly in small claims. I have a massive distaste for insurance companies now.

I was hit on my mint 2001 double cab Tacoma truck recently ( rear ended) .

Other guys insurance offered me $750. That’s it. I was at red light, other guy in new corvette was on telephone texting and didn’t see me .

I went to 4 body shops. Highest estimate was $1734.90

    Loss of use claim: $632.57

    Medical claim: $2500

    Diminished value : $3645.30

    My total claim $8512.77

They upped their offer to $1500. And they mailed me check immediately. I returned check and rejected offer.

4.5 months later, settled it for $7500.00 :)

    Persistent pay off.

This is my 3rd successful DV claim in last 10 years.

Let me guess, Allstate? Only reason I say that is that's about what my claim was, and that's about what I was offered. Horrible insurance company.

A friend of mine had her car parked in front of her house and some lady came flying down the street and plowed into it. That Lady's insurance is refusing to pay because they said it exceeds the value of her policy, so she goes to her insurance company and tries to file under uninsured/underinsured and they are refusing coverage. I told her to hire a lawyer as she is totally screwed over at this point.
