I mean i can understand that sentiment if you're just watching the games on ESPN FC or some other app but if you're actually watching, i don't think it's fair to say that.

especially this young team. so much counterattacking, great passing when they do possess, heavy and high pressing - i don't see what's not to be excited about.

Also i think saying the #3 FIFA ranked nation and the reigning World Champions "suck" is a little sour and frankly incorrect. we've developed our squad more than any other nation and we're gearing up for a dynasty of World Cup success.

Well that was actually a pretty good final! Chile had plenty of chances but couldnt finish. And were lucky to not go down to 10 men (Be curious to see why the ref gave a yellow instead of red even after using VAR).

But lots of emotion and hard fighting by both sides for the whole game. Lots of passion. The ref did a pretty dang good job managing the game too

 

Thought Chile was better all day. Let down for Chilean defender will lead to nightmares for the rest of his life. Great game to watch. Tempo was high for 90 minutes makes for a great game.

 

Chile definitely was on the attack the whole game. Germany just sort of sat back and took it. And got lucky on their goal. You could tell in the last 15 minutes that the Chile players were getting frustrated though. But definitely a good tempo to the game and fun to watch for a neutral.

 

Watched both games for the confederate cup since they were on regular TV here (in Portugal for two weeks). Portugal played well. No need for all that suffering. Germany is Germany. Defended well and scored a gimme.

 

Didn't think Germany was the better team but agree, they scored a gimme and defended at all costs. Feel like Chile missed 3-4 sitters which has to be frustrating.
