i 100% agree with you that neither messi nor cr7 have a team surrounding them when playing on their countries squad... there is no argue there.


but albeit there are a bunch of quality players on both these respective countries teams

for me, i think argentina made a fatal choice by having a bench sitting keeper play in the first two matches.... i don't care who you play for, a keeper that plays every game of the season is better than a keeper that rides a bench.... Armani did better in the last two games than Caballero in the first two games but it is what it is now right...

 

Both Messi and CR7 are used to playing with their club teammates that is hard for their national team teammates to adapt to them in such a short time
