I get the fact nothing was done during the match but for the league not to punish after the fact is a complete travesty. I think it was a week or so later he had another rash challenge. It's because he wasn't punished. Let em get away with it and they'll keep on keeping on.

The response by Uefa is one that you would think would happen. To be banned from all competitions. Wonder how they feel about Man City right now....because I think they take it all this year

 

With super league Fifa has threatened to not let players play internationally. That could really shake things up as far as transfers go. I can imagine mckennie and pullisic would want out of current squads with their leadership type roles for national team. Tons of players I imagine would swap around. Could make things interesting with players going to different teams for less wages in order to remain in international eligibility. I didn't see Bayern or Psg did I? If they don't join then theres the CL title game for next 5 years :/

So supposedly PSG, Bayern and Dortmund were all asked to join, and all declined. But now there's talk of Bayern getting "invited" to join based on how the so called founders are planning on running the league.

And to prove that it really is all about money, read the numbers that they are saying will get divided up between the founding clubs. Holy fuck!

And oh yeah... The president of this shit show of a league is none other than Florentino Perez... The real madrid president.

 

So they say there will be 15 permanent members....how is that a good competition. I'll be the first to tell you if you Liverpool don't belong in a competition they don't belong. I'd be curious to see what folks on Merseyside think about this. I'm just a southern guy that loves the beautiful game and Liverpool but to someone in Liverpool, or Manchester or Barcelona etc. etc. that are entwined in the fabric of the clubs, what are their thoughts. Surely they don't like it....Right?

 

How happy it would make me to see pullisic go back to Dortmund. Also Haaland and his love for the Champions league could potentially keep him at Dortmund since his release clause also needs him to agree with terms of whatever team tries to trigger that. Sancho can go to city so we can afford to pay haaland whatever wages he wishes. As an American Dortmund fan that situation would be perfect. I can't see Dest leaving barca if leo stays at barca though. If I'm dest I would stay until messi is gone and then make the move to somewhere that allows international play. Mckennie I'm sure would move somewhere since hes one of the leaders on this young american squad.

 

Tottenham definitely won't win a trophy now Also I would imagine that the people local to clubs and the die hard fans would be fuming. Take gary nevilles reaction for example. Talked about how this is clubs becoming complacent with being a big name but not performing. No relegation or way to be kicked out but they reel in boatloads because its a big name club...

 

I just listened to Neville's response. I agree with him 100%. It is a disgrace. It isn't a competition if teams don't get relegated. I've been saying for years I wish the MLB would adopt the EPL's structure. I'd love to see the Atlanta Braves relegated and the Montgomery Biscuits promoted.

If this shit really happens, the international players on those squads will have to make a decision; jeopardize their international careers, or say fuck it to their country and be greedy and make money.

My personal opinion, for what it's worth, they're gonna say fuck my country and be greedy. And yes, I'm including my boy CR7 @ juve in that, unfortunately.

 

I'd be truly disappointed if some of my favorites did the same. I want to hear Stevie G's reaction. That's what I want to hear. If he says he's against it, then he's giving up his eventual managerial position at his boyhood club.

And supposedly Klopp said that if LFC joined (supposedly this statement was before today's announcement) he would step down as manager of the club.

 

Good for him. What sucks is the heart of the club is not making the decision. It's the greedy owners. I gotta say, I hope the red sox and LeBron James lose every game this year.

 

Odds are the Montreal biscuits are a farm team owned by a top league team. Baseball would need to stop the farm system and go to seperate entity’s within different leagues for that to work. Great idea tho.

 

The heart of these clubs are in Cusseta Alabama, Connecticut, Liverpool, Turin, Arizona, Manchester, Boston....not some damn table where checks are passed back and forth but apparently that is all these owners care about.

 

I've been a juve fan long before my boy came on board. I stuck with them through that shit show that was 06, when they got busted for match fixing and got relegated. Today, with the announcement and them saying they were one of the 12 founding partners, I stopped following them on social media. And even if they all back track and decide not to go through with it, I don't think I can root for them anymore because they are trying to destroy the game I love.

 

Thing is I'll support the players though...unless they are all woohoo yeehaa super league. I seriously doubt they have a say it all of this and are probably just as bummed as everyone else about the whole deal.

 

Yeah... Doubt they have any say in it. And I think if they don't agree and want out, they'll have to rescind their contract and would likely have to pay the club some sort of penalty.

 

Curious how all this plays in the minds of Liverpool tomorrow vs Leeds. Leeds will no doubt smell blood in the water. Not only for this super league crap but for the simple fact Liverpool forgot how to play....this year

 

Yeah... LFC has been a shadow of themselves this season. I think mentally they checked out because of winning the EPL last season.
