Man vs. Wild is more entertaining to me, but I have more respect for what Les does. IMO Dual Survival is the best

I will have to give dual survival another chance. I'm actually anticipating the new season with another guy besides Dave. Nothing against him. Another dynamic will be interesting.

les is actually surviving. bear grills is putting on a show. no one needs to drink their own urine 30 mins into being "stranded" or with ur camera men who have water and food. i do like the gerber knife that has his name on it, certifies u to run through the woods and drink ur own urine.

i agree. Bear Grylls dose move around to much and take to many chances! if i was stranded some where. i would just try and build fire and shelter, than think about food, at least for 2 or 3 days.(if that long) and try and wait for help. better chance of them finding me if i stay in one place with shelter and fire, than if i move around for miles and or days.

Just once, I would like to see Les find some cannabis out in the wild, and partake in it's qualities. That would be just great to see.

Yeah, because a guy who was in the British Special Forces and climbed Everest as the youngest Britain ever (23) only 18 months after he crushed 3 of his vertebrae is a pussy. Right. :notsure:

Man vs. Wild is more entertaining for me because Bear has more of a personality and the British humor make it for me. Survivorman does teach you a little more about actual survivor skills but I find it's just too boring and Les Stroud is not very entertaining.

There's just a trade off with both.

im with you though. i liked dave alot. and whether or not he did have this or that much experience, the dude knew his stuff. no one who's watched the show can deny it. . . but the lying about his service and what not, not cool.

    wonderful

what it really should boil down to is this. les plays the harmonica, bear doesn't.

Bear eats food and drinks water every night. You try fasting for 1/2 the year and see how healthy you look.

and for that reason HE is no survivalist....just another TV star.

#1 rule to survival ~ survive (take NO unnecessary risks)

In just about every episode he is taking jabs at Bear. I also LMAO when he does.

no contest. Les is the man. Going out in the wilderness for days by yourself and filming yourself all while teaching important survival skills? Don't see Bear Grylls doing anything but drinking his own piss..

Grylls is a hollywood boy. Nothing he teaches you is useful. He never actually puts himself in a survival scenario. You're insulting Les by even comparing him.
