    Stumbled upon these the other day;

    https://www.aesinnovate.com/product-page/2016-2022-toyota-tacoma-v6-3-5l-intake-runner-kits

    The claims of peak torque hitting at 1000rpm lower seems too good to be true.

    I'm in a 2020 Sport, Manual Transmission, running 265/70/17 tyres on a 2" lift, and am not regeared.

    I can't help but think that the claimed gains of a the manifold spacer (if true) make this very appealing and a much more efficient route than a regear, especially given DIY install looks pretty achievable.

    Any one in a manual with first hand experience of these?

    I'm hesitant to pull the trigger given what you find after a google of generic 'manifold spacers' in general, so would love some first hand input.

    Increasing intake runner volume does indeed move the torque curve. How much on our engine can only be answered with a true dyno test. I will withhold the snake oil judgement until it’s proven or disproven as such.

    You feel like regear is necessary with 31s?

    I’m running 32s in LT235/85/16. Tires are 48 lbs. increase in 1.5 inches and stock tires were 31 lbs. A less than .5 mpg drop is all I’ve seen. No difference in acceleration or braking. No changes to transmission shifting.

    With 265/70/17, I felt like my truck was overgeared. 4.30 gears stock. That’s why I was asking.

    With 33s, it’s great for the most part. 1st and 2nd could be a hair lower but not a big deal at all. I think 4.88s would be absolutely perfect with 33s on my truck.

    Gears are 100% subjective. Just go with what you like.

    When I had 285’s (I’m an auto) the gearing was fine. 35’s kind of sucked with stock gears. 4.88’s and 35’s I almost felt like it was too low. But that’s probably because I was used to stock and 35’s. Now I have 38’s and 4.88’s and I think it drives fine.

    But it’s easier to have mismatched gears in an auto though. I’d probably want at least 5.13’s if mine was a manual.

    If you want to spend your money and time for 18 ft. lbs knock your self out. I went through this in the 90's and if you can feel the difference you have a sensitive but.
