If you were near me, I have the front door panels and wiring from an 02 double cab. And I could get the rear door panels and wiring if needed.

I have zero plugs in the kick panel. That is why I removed everything from the parts truck. The parts truck is a 99 2 door truck. The project truck is a 2001 4 door. There are additional pins for the additional door switches. Just needing to verify that those additional wires get plugged in correctly. That’s why I was asking about the pin diagram for the 2001. Reference and verification purposes.

The additional pins are for the key detection switch, and the actuator engage switch (if I recall correctly) these are for the security system I believe

95-00 trucks use a different master switch than 01-04. That is why the connectors are different.

To figure out what pins are for the rear windows, just connect your multimeter (in continuity mode) to the main power wire. Then pull one of the rear switches and see which pin you have continuity on.

I don’t think they use a different master switch. I’ve swapped around 95-00 and 01-04 harnesses and master switches. The 95-00 is different in places, like it has the courtesy light. The kick panel connectors remained the same in exception of the double cab models for the secondary connector for the speakers.

The issue I’m having is converting from a 2 door donor truck to a 4 door daily driver. I have to build the harness for the rear doors.

The two door master switch is a 10 pin connection. The quad cab master switch is a 14 pin connection.

I would bet good money that I need to move wires around as well to the newer style master switch. As well as adding the new wires for the rear doors.

That is why I am looking for a 14 pin master window switch pin diagram for the 2001.

Look at the diagrams I provided throughout this thread. I built the harness in my 1998 ext. cab using 2004 double cab parts.

I actually have used your diagram. That’s how I got the harness to work and function in my shop floor. That’s good work on you. It’s been well used. That hasn’t helped me with the 10 pin 2 door conversion to 14 pin master switch.

The wires should all be the same colors. Minus the non existent rear door wires. I’m trying to make sure that I don’t have to rearrange pins in the connectors before I smoke window switches.

Oh so you're trying to re-pin the ext. cab master switch connector to fit the double can master switch connector?

You need 2001 diagrams? The 2004 diagrams I have up should be identical. There was basically zero change from 2001-2004. Do you need a specific diagram?

They are definitely different. Look at the shape of the lock switch. 01-04 is skinnier while 95-00 is wider
I'm using a 99-02 4runner master window switch in my 99 2 door. The 4runner switch is constructed in the same way as the 01-04 4 door tacoma. It uses slide switches internally, while the 95-00 tacoma switch uses metal contacts.

I am looking for the pin out diagram for the 14 pin plug. Or perhaps even a couple of good pictures of an existing plug that I could use for verification and possible pin relocation.

I have looked at schematics and tried to decipher the PIN numbers and haven’t had much success.

Your switch pictures pretty well match what I have. 2 door 99 version(old style with metal contacts). 4 door (new style with sliders inside).

Specifically the driver door switch. That’s my trouble spot at the moment.
